Marital quality did not change significantly over time. Marital stability rates were especially low for soldiers who reported that their marriage was in trouble prior to the deployment. This paper presents a unique and comprehensive framework for the deployment of effective telemedicine centers in diverse locations in Bangladesh. The framework employs a top-down analysis and design approach by properly organizing the key elements comprising it. The elements include a nationwide analysis of demographics along with current healthcare scenario as well location-specific pre-deployment studies and the recommended telemedicine solution. This framework will be a valuable guide to deploy effective and long-term telemedicine center at any given location. Towards this goal, the paper p

To date, approximately 300,000 families including 700,000 children have been affected by the increased and repeated number of deployments in support of the Global War on Terror in Iraq and Afghanistan since 2001. The purpose of this review is to discuss the impact of these deployments on family members of active duty and reserve/guard personnel. A search of literature across the years of military conflicts reveals waves of studies emerging after World War II, the Vietnam conflict, Desert Storm/Shield, and now the most recent wars. Study designs most frequently include qualitative exploratory,

Large-scale cultivation of perennial bioenergy crops (e.g., miscanthus and switchgrass) offers unique opportunities to mitigate climate change through avoided fossil fuel use and associated greenhouse gas reduction. Although conversion of existing agriculturally intensive lands (e.g., maize and soy) to perennial bioenergy cropping systems has been shown to reduce near-surface temperatures, unintended consequences on natural water resources via depletion of soil moisture may offset these benefits. The hydroclimatic impacts associated with perennial bioenergy crop expansion over the contiguous U

In this paper, there are presented theoretical fundamentals of a real-time health monitoring for a pipeline system. The calculation of the total stress is based on measuring of the real loadings in the form of time-varying strains in critical places of a pipeline system in its real operation. Presented unique deployment of the strain sensors allows to decompose the individual components of loading in cross-section including its vector´s characteristics. Staff scheduling has historically been embedded within hospital operations, often defined by each new manager of a unit or program, and notably absent from the organization's practice and standards infrastructure and accountabilities of the executive team. Silvestro and Silvestro contend that “there is a need to recognize that hospital performance relies critically on the competence and effectiveness of roster planning activities, and that these activities are therefore of strategic importance.”1 This article highlights the importance of including staff scheduling — or workforce deployment — i

Multiple adjustment difficulties have been associated with children’s exposure to recent parental wartime military deployments, but long-term consequences have not yet been systematically studied. This investigation will assess direct and indirect relationships between exposures to parental deployments early in life and later youth adjustment. Parents’ psychological health and family processes will be examined as mediators, and parents’ and children’s vulnerability and support will be examined as moderators. Archival data will be combined with new data gathered from two children and up to two

Abstract:
ABSTRACT This paper proposes a novel approach to data center expansion planning and execution, aiming to streamline the process and enhance responsiveness to dynamic compute demands. The traditional model, involving Commercial Readiness, Cage Readiness, Network HW Readiness, and Compute Provisioning, often leads to long lead times and high variability in short-term planning. The suggested paradigm introduces an intermediate "Medium Term Planning" phase to bridge the gap between site preparation and short-term demand, dissociating Cage/Network Readiness from compute expansions.
