Abstract:
Introduction: Lichen planus (LP) is a chronic inflammatory dermatosis that causes plaques and itchy papules on the skin, as well as erosion and ulcers in the mucous membranes. LP is characterized by a dense dermal T-cell infiltration. Perieccrine inflammation can be seen in a variety of dermatoses, but genuine lymphocyte permeation of the secretory coil or lymphocytic syringotropism is a rare sign that is typically seen in mycosis fungoides. Case Presentation: In this study, we present 2 uncommon instances of lymphocytic syringotropism in LP. Histopathological examination revealed dense T-cell

Lymphocytic infiltration of the skin (LIS), first reported by Jessner and Kanof in 1953, is a disease of unknown etiology characterized by erythematous papules and plaques on the head, neck, and upper back and histopathological findings of a normal epidermis with underlying lymphocytic infiltration of the reticular dermis without mucin deposition. A 69-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman presented with edematous indurative erythema of the left upper eyelid. Lymphocytic infiltration of the dermis with CD4+ T cell predominance was noted on biopsy. A 68-year-old man presented with a four-year hi

We encountered many patients with PP or AGEP who cannot be distinguished clinically, pathologically and based on disease course from each so we designed a comprehensive interpersonal histopathologic overview of these patients' samples. Method: Histopathological data of 16 patients over 3.5 years were analyzed. Four pathologists separately reviewed specimens based on eighteen criteria (9 Epidermal and 9 Dermal). The clinical picture, diagnosis and treatment of a dog with epitheliotropic lymphoma are presented. The dog (male, mongrel, 13-year old) was admitted to our Clinic with a 5-month history of non-pruritic skin lesions. At clinical examination a multifocal to diffuse exfoliative erythrodermia was the most striking finding. Diagnosis of epitheliotropic lymphoma was based on cutaneous histopathology, revealing a dense dermal and epidermal lymphocytic infiltration and Pautrie microabcess formation. Angioimmunoblastic lymphadenopathy with dysproteinemia (AILD) is a primary lymphoproliferative T-cell disorder, currently classified as a peripheral T-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. AILD is characterized by generalized lymphadenopathy, hepatosplenomegaly, immunological abnormalities, polyclonal hypergammaglobulinemia and anemia. We report a case of AILD in an 80-year-old male who presented with a generalized pruritic maculopapular eruption and fever following doxycycline administration. RESULTS The kappa value on the diagnosis of cutaneous melanoma versus benign lesions was 0.61. There was some discordance on the diagnosis in 37 of 140 cases (26%). This acute form is distinguished from the milder chronic condition, Pityriasis Lichenoides Chronica (PLC).
