In this article, we add research on technical integration and dependency to the theories of platformization. Our research seeks to understand how platforms have been able to technically integrate themselves into the fabric of the mobile ecosystem, transforming the economic dynamics that allow these largely enclosed entities to compete. We therefore want to consider platforms as service assemblages to account for the material ways in which they have decomposed and recomposed themselves for developers, enabling them to shift the economic dynamics of competition and monopolization in their favor.

The text contributes to the discussion about the ontological status of the "image" by offering an analysis of the technical and material conditions of image-making. Departing from a close reading of French artist Julien Maire's installation "Memory Cone" (2009), the paper discusses four distinct types of technical conditions which determine mediated images: physiological, physical, electronic, and algorithmic. It references art historical examples to argue that such technical conditions have always been fundamental to images, and suggests the interdependency between these medial layers.

Abstract This paper describes some recent developments that treats the simultaneous optimization of material and structure for minimum compliance. The basic idea is to represent the material properties for a linear elastic continuum in the most general form possible namely as the unrestricted set of elements of positive semi-definite constitutive tensors. The cost of resource is measured through certain invariants of the tensors, here the 2-norm or the trace of the tensors. The advantage of this general formulation is that analytical forms for the optimized material properties can be derived a

The value of additively manufactured (AM) components with application in the aerospace industry can be assessed by subjecting them to realistic operational service conditions. While there is considerable knowledge about the tensile response of AM materials, minimal studies have considered the torsional and torsional-fatigue response of AM materials. A comprehensive understanding of the effect of both axial and torsional conditions of AM parts can allow for improvements in manufacturing design of components to effectively meet or exceed service requirements. Bird strike simulation is crucial for designing aircraft blades, but characterizing materials at high strain rates presents challenges. This study presents a Dynamic Tensile Test Device (DTTD) for characterizing composite materials usually used in blades industry. The DTTD, integrated with a drop weight tower, converts kinetic energy into tensile loading, allowing material characterization of any material. In this article, experimental results for aramid/epoxy 2D braids at different angles were obtained and load curves were analyzed. However, the effort is produced by an impact, which generate
