Abstract:
Aims: The foremost aim of this study was to evaluate the 1:1 formed complex when mefenamic acid interacts with Cu2+, Zn2+, and EDTA4- metal at the physiological condition, which provides a better understanding of the pharmacological studies. This research provided information on the binding affinity of mefenamic acid with selective metals. It helps with preparative, structural, and reactivity studies for multiple drug designs in pharmaceutical fields.

Abstract:
Mefenamic acid (MFA), a water-insoluble drug, is used as a suspension in the medical field, but it requires shaking before using to disperse MFA content in the suspension. In previous studies, trials to prepare MFA suspension with high dispersion stability by atomizing MFA by the wet-milling method. However, HPC is used for atomizing MFA. Therefore, the optimum concentration and molecular weight for atomizing MFA have not been investigated. In this study, we investigated the optimum molecular weight and concentration of HPC for the micronization of MFA. As a result, MFA particles became fine p

Objective : The objective of this study is to develop the formation mefenamic acid (MFA) – nicotinamide (NCT) co-crystal by using melt crystallization method and investigate its solubility.Method : Co-crystal was prepared by using melt crystallization method of MFA-NCT (1:2) at (220±3) ° C. The initial co-crystal formation was performed by powder x-ray diffraction (PXRD). The thin layer chromatography (TLC) method was done to confirm the chemical stability of MFA and NCT due to synthesized process. A mefenamic acid sensor was prepared by the modification of a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) with graphene nano-sheets (Gr) and multi wall carbon nanotubes (MWCNT). The designed sensor (MWCNT/Gr/GCE) indicated an electrocatalytic behaviour when applied for mefenamic acid (MFA) oxidation due to good conductivity, low electron transfer resistance and catalytic effect. The suggested sensor revealed a lower overvoltage and enhanced current compared with bare GCE for the oxidation of MFA. The observations indicated that the oxidation potential of MFA is decreased more than 200 mV using the designed

Abstract:
Mefenamic acid (MFA) is a commonly prescribed non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. MFA is known to have potent antioxidant properties and a neuroprotective effect against oxidative stress. However, its impact on the liver is unclear. This study aimed to elucidate the antioxidative effects of MFA and their underlying mechanisms. We observed that MFA treatment upregulated the nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) pathway. Treatment with various anthranilic acid derivative-class NSAIDs, including MFA, increased the expression o

Mefenamic acid is an analgesic non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that is categorized as Biopharmaceutical Classification System (BCS) class II drug. Cocrystallization of mefenamic acid (MFA) with nicotinamide (NIC) has been reported to enhance the solubility of MFA for about 2.56 times higher than pure MFA. As a part of MFA-NIC development in pharmaceutical dosage form, we reported the improvement of mechanical properties of MFA-NIC cocrystal based on the presence of slip planes in crystal structure. Mefenamic acid belongs to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs that are used widely for the treatment of analgesia. Our aim from this study is to establish a new assay for the quantitative determination of mefenamic acid (MFA) in the pharmaceutical sample by two sensitive and rapid flow injection-fluorometric methods. A homemade fluorometer was used in fluorescence measurements, which using solid-state laser diode 405 and 532 nm as a source, combined with a continuous flow injection technique. Background: Epilepsy is a chronic neurological disorder characterized by recurrent seizures due to abnormal electrical activity in the brain. Despite advancements in treatment, approximately 30% of patients remain unresponsive to current antiepileptic drugs (AEDs), highlighting the need for alternative therapies. Mefenamic acid (MFA), a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), has shown potential anticonvulsant properties, possibly through modulation of GABAA receptors and adenosine signaling. Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the anticonvulsant effects of MFA in a pentylenetetrazol
