The external metric of the ball with a charge on the surface, as a solution to the Einstein-Maxwell equations, depends on three independent parameters - the surface radius, the charge and the gravitational radius of the ball, which is equal to the gravitational radius of a neutral non-rotating matter. The electric field exists only outside the ball, and its energy contributes to the metric with the same sign as the matter. Therefore, an increase in charge enhances gravity, increasing the magnitude of its effects (redshifts, orbital radii and shadows, etc.). The metric outside the spherical col

The estimate of the energy deposition rate (EDR) for neutrino pair annihilation has been carried out. The EDR for the neutrinos coming from the equatorial plane of a rotating neutron star is calculated along the rotation axis using the Cook–Shapiro–Teukolsky metric. The neutrino trajectories and hence the neutrinos emitted from the disk are affected by the redshift due to disk rotation and gravitation. The EDR is very sensitive to the value of the temperature and its variation along the disk. The rotation of the star has a negative effect on the EDR; it decreases with increase in rotational ve

We apply the counterterm subtraction technique to calculate the action and other quantities of the Kerr-AdS black hole in five dimensions using two boundary metrics: the Einstein universe and the rotating Einstein universe with an arbitrary angular velocity. In both cases, the resulting thermodynamic quantities satisfy the first law of thermodynamics. We point out that the reason for the violation of the first law in previous calculations was that the rotating Einstein universe, used as a boundary metric, was rotating with an angular velocity that depended on the black hole rotation parameter.

The Mashhoon rotation–spin coupling is studied by means of the parallelism description of general relativity. The relativistic rotational tetrad is exploited which results in the Minkowski metric, and the torsion axial-vector and Dirac spin coupling will give the Mashhoon rotation–spin term. For the high speed rotating cases, the tangent velocity constructed by the angular velocity Ω multiplying the distance r may exceed over the speed of light c, i.e. Ωr ≥ c, which will make the relativistic factor γ infinity or imaginary. The Euler equations of an ideal incompressible fluid are shown to be geodesics of the group of volume preserving diffeomorphisms. The curvature of this metric is calculated. This chapter covers the Kerr metric, which is an exact solution of the Einstein vacuum equations. The Kerr metric provides a good approximation of the spacetime near each of the many rotating black holes in the observable universe. This chapter shows that the Einstein equations are nonlinear. However, there exists a class of metrics which linearize them. It demonstrates the Kerr–Schild metrics, before arriving at the Kerr solution in the Kerr–Schild metrics. Since the Kerr solution is stationary and axially symmetric, this chapter shows that the geodesic equation possesses two first integrals.

Abstract:
Theoretically considering velocities greater than c implies considering an observer’s past and extends the overall analysis into the complex plane. By using a series of rotations by i in the complex plane, one can create a four-lobed structure of “instants of time,” which together with considering matter and antimatter in the lobes and the +/- sense of the rotation, leads to a Higgs field representation of space and time. A 10x10 metric is developed for this system as well as a generalized spacetime interval. It is also shown that the Friedmann Equations are consistent with our “Higgs Cosmolog

Abstract:
In field operating environments, military units must ensure access to a critical water supply to maintain mission readiness. Increasing complexity of logistics and costs to transport water and climate change are driving the development and demonstration of water treatment units. The treatment unit described uses ultrafiltration (UF) and reverse osmosis (RO) mem-brane technologies with a disinfection step to treat low-strength graywater from shower facilities at Camp Shelby Joint Force Training Center in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Samples were collected from human shower sampling events. During

Abstract:
The National Park Service collects water-quality samples on a rotating basis at three fixed water-quality stations in Bryce Canyon National Park (NP): Sheep Creek, Yellow Creek, and Mossy Cave Spring. Data collection began at Sheep Creek and Yellow Creek in November 2005 and at Mossy Cave in July 2008. Data on in-situ parameters, fecal-coliform samples, major ions, and nutrients are collected monthly, while trace elements are sampled quarterly. This report analyzes data from the beginning of the period of record for each station through water year 2021 to test for trends over time. Concentrati
