This research analyzes how NBA player performance metrics: age, points, assists, and rebounds per 36 minutes affect player salaries. The results indicate that scoring (points per 36 minutes) is the strongest determinant of salary, and the playmaking ability is less strong than scoring but also significantly affect the salary (assists per 36 minutes). While age has a moderate yet noteworthy influence, rebounding (rebounds per 36 minutes) has minimal impact. These findings indicate that modern NBA salary structures highlight skills, particularly scoring and playmaking, over the traditional contr

Uncompetitive remuneration for teachers has been a problem for many decades in Latvia. Government together with social partners –education trade unions, have tried to solve this problem by asking to allocate additional financial resources to public education budget, by developing teacher salary raise schedules and various educational reforms in all three Baltic countries. The aim of the study is to research general principles of teachers’ remuneration and workload in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, for comparison and social dialogue argumentation on the part of education trade unions.

This article treats the domestic and foreign experience of tax regimes in the IT industry, which is one of the most dynamically developing sectors of the economy. The study of successful foreign experience in the application of tax regimes for IT companies allows to use its achievements in improving tax regimes for the domestic IT sector. The Republic of Moldova adopted a legislative framework regulating the activities of information technology parks, the creation of which has the main goal of increasing the competitiveness of enterprises in the information technology industry. This paper explores optimal design of reverse osmosis (RO) systems for water desalination. In these systems, salty water flows at high pressure through vessels containing semi-permeable membrane modules. The membranes can allow water to flow through, but prohibit the passage of salt ions. When the pressure is sufficiently high, water molecules will flow through the membranes leaving the salt ions behind, and are collected in a fresh water stream. Typical system design variables include the number and layout of the vessels and membrane modules, as well as the operating pressure and flow rate. T

Estimations affirm that by 2030 there will be 9 billion people on our planet, which makes the problem of food a priority issue. A large part of the food, especially in industrialized countries, is packaged, either fresh produce from the field (fruits and vegetables) or cooked products, many of them in the ready-to-take mode. The recent COVID-19 pandemic increased the consumption of food prepared for home delivery, causing more waste in municipal landfills. In countries like Spain, takeaway fast food services have increased during the pandemic by 83% compared to 2019, already representing 3% of
