Abstract The aim of this work was to investigate the applicability of a mathematical model developed for the description of supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) of cannabinoids from marijuana and hashish for liquid extraction of other substances. The mentioned model is applicable for dynamic SFE whose implementation is analogous to liquid–solid extraction in quasi-counter current mode. According to this model, quasi-counter current liquid–solid extractions were designed by calculation of component transport constants for extractions of psilocin from hallucinogenic mushroom, mescaline from hall

Mathematical models were developed for two operational modes of the injector-type extraction column upon separation of the initial mixture. On the basis of a numerical experiment comparison of the cyclic operational mode with the stationary operational mode was carried out with respect to the extraction degree and the energy demand. It was confirmed that, as compared to the stationary operational mode, the cyclic operational mode provides a greater degree of extraction. Generally speaking, vibration signals collected by sensors always contain complex frequency components, which will bring great trouble to bearing condition monitoring and fault diagnosis. A reliable fault signal component extraction method is significant to detect the fault-induced weak repetitive transients. Therefore, many signal decomposition or extraction methods have been developed and are widely employed in fault diagnosis. Based on the recently proposed variational mode extraction (VME) method, an adaptive optimal mode extraction method was designed with a new strategy to extract the mo

This study aims to enhance conventional mode extraction methods in ocean waveguides using a physics-informed neural network (PINN). Mode extraction involves estimating mode wavenumbers and corresponding mode depth functions. The approach considers a scenario with a single frequency source towed at a constant depth and measured from a vertical line array (VLA). Conventional mode extraction methods applied to experimental data face two problems. First, mode shape estimation is limited because the receivers only cover a partial waveguide. In VLSI circuits, signal delays play an important role in design, timing verification and signal integrity checks. These delays are attributed to the presence of parasitic resistance, capacitance and inductance. With increasing clock speed and reducing feature sizes, these delays will be dominated by parasitic inductance. In the next generation VLSI circuits, with more than millions of components and interconnect segments, fast and accurate inductance estimation becomes a crucial step. Modern cars have a multitude of driver assistance functions that aim to support the driver in his/her everyday driving. One part of this is the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) that aims to keep a driver-specified speed. However, this set speed might be perceived as too high for some curves and as a result the driver will interrupt the system and take control again. To avoid this, a Curve Speed Adaptation (CSA) system aims to adapt the speed for an upcoming curve. Such a system should aim to mimic a driver and take into consideration how the driver would behave if he/she were to drive. This work

Abstract:
Silylbenzoxazine derivatives with different bulky group on benzene ring are synthesized employing aminosilane as a primary amine. The silylbenzoxazine derivatives with more bulky group exhibit low ion extraction percentage due to the difficulty of molecular assembly formation as a result of the bulky group repulsion combining with the long alkyl chain of silane. Silica surface modified benzoxazines are successfully achieved via silylbenzoxazine derivatives and show the ion extraction property for various alkali and alkaline earth metal ions. When silane is coupled onto silica, the benzoxazine
