Abstract:
Monetary policy can affect the operation of physical enterprises through monetary and credit channels. As a supplement to external credit, corporate commercial credit can effectively smooth out the impact of monetary policy on enterprises and play a "stabilizer" role. Based on the data of listed companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen from 2007 to 2021, this paper empirically studies the impact of corporate commercial credit on the government's monetary policy and the Catabolism effect of the tendency of enterprises to "move away from reality to emptiness". Financial markets play an important role in generating monetary policy transmission asymmetries in the US. Credit spreads only adjust to unexpected increases in interest rates, causing output and prices to respond more to a monetary tightening than to an expansion. At a one year horizon, the ‘financial multiplier’ of monetary policy—defined as the ratio between the cumulative responses of employment and credit spreads—is zero for a monetary expansion, -2 for a monetary tightening, and -4 for a monetary tightening that takes place under strained credit market conditions. Historical data was collated and estimated employing the ARDL form of Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) technique. The IMF Financial Stability Board (2014) report revealed that the volume of financial intermediation via the non-bank sector in several economies has been increasing over the past decades. AbstractThis chapter introduces the reader to unconventional monetary policy, i.e. monetary policy using instruments going beyond the steering of short-term interest rates as described in the previous chapter. We start by providing the rationale of unconventional monetary policy, i.e. essentially pursuing an effective monetary policy when conventional policies are not able to provide the necessary monetary accommodation because of the zero lower bound. We then discuss negative interest rate policies, and explain why rates slightly below zero have proven to be feasible despite the existence of

Our paper addresses the issue on the interaction between monetary and macroprudential policies in small open economies for different exchange rate regimes. The need for macroprudential policy arises from exacerbated macroeconomic fluctuations due to frictions in the financial system as in Bernanke, Gertler and Gilchrist (1999). Understanding these dynamics in developing nations has been even more important after the most recent events of the Great Recession. Policy makers within the scrutinized economies will see the exact magnitude of shocks caused by changes in financial frictions, monetary
