Aeschynanthus monetaria, a beautiful epiphytic species of Gesneriaceae, was rediscovered in monsoon rain forest along the Yarlung Zangbo River in Motuo County, Southeast Tibet (Xizang), China. Its description is amended and completed with both fresh and dried specimens in this discovery. To better facilitate its identification, the color images in the field and line illustrations based on our specimens are given. The little known species Nudina xizangensis Fang, 2000 is rediscovered from its type locality, Beibeng, Motuo County, Southeast Xizang, with genitalia of both sexes illustrated for the first time. Based on its unique genitalia structure, a new lichen moth genus, Paranudina Huang & Wang gen. nov., is described with N. xizangensis as the type species. Abstract:

A new species, Platanthera xizangensis, discovered in Motuo county, Xizang Autonomous Region, China is described and illustrated. This species is close to P. milinensis by sharing greenish and spurless flowers, but is readily distinguished from the latter by presence of two subopposite leaves, lax subsecund inflorescence and lip with calli at base. Molecular phylogenetic analyses based on three DNA markers (nrITS, matK, rbcL) revealed that P. xizangensis is sister to P. milinensis with high support. Key to the Platanthera species in the Pan-Himalaya is also provided.

A new species of Orchidaceae, Bulbophyllum deergongense, is described from Motuo (Tibet, China) based on morphological traits and molecular phylogenetic analysis. This new species is similar to B. reptans but differs in its elongate cylindrical pseudobulbs with prominent ridges, yellowish-green flower without markings, and oblong-ovoid petal with a round apical purple-brown spot. Molecular phylogenetic analyses based on two plastid makers (matK and psbA-trnH) and two nuclear DNA (ITS and Xdh) support B. deergongense as a new species of B. section Reptantia, in which it is sister to B. reptans.

The pauropod family Eurypauropodidae Ryder, 1879 is recorded from Tibet, China for the first time. In this study, a new species Samarangopus zhongisp. nov. is described and illustrated from Motuo County, southeastern Tibet of China. It is distinguished from other species in this genus by having one pair of spiniform appendages on the sternum of the last trunk segment, 28–34 marginal protuberances on tergite I, the distal quarter of bothriotricha T3 golf-club-shaped, and the leaf-shaped seta st on tergum of pygidium. In addition, Samarangopus canalis Scheller, 2009 is newly recorded from China.
