The 2016 interventions concerning the rehabilitation of the Municipal Museum Abade Pedrosa in Santo Tirso, Portugal were analyzed to verify in what way acoustics interferes in the museum enjoyment. In situ measurements were done in every exhibition room: Reverberation Time, RASTI and the Equivalent Sound Level (LAeq). RT[500, 1k, 2k Hz] values were between 2.5 and 3.9 s. Abstract:
This paper explores the “China Architectural Exhibition,” the first nationwide museum exhibition in China devoted to architecture, which took place in the Shanghai Municipal Museum in 1936. The Exhibition served as a platform for various organizers to unfold their changing ideas of modern Chinese architecture, Greater Shanghai, and the Chinese nation. Placing the exhibition within the context of the ongoing Greater Shanghai Plan, this paper demonstrates how it built upon the encyclopaedic display approach of the 1929 “First National Fine Arts Exhibition,” how the organizers utilized the museum
