The 2016 interventions concerning the rehabilitation of the Municipal Museum Abade Pedrosa in Santo Tirso, Portugal were analyzed to verify in what way acoustics interferes in the museum enjoyment. In situ measurements were done in every exhibition room: Reverberation Time, RASTI and the Equivalent Sound Level (LAeq). RT[500, 1k, 2k Hz] values were between 2.5 and 3.9 s. Julia H. Schildbach (*1880, †1962) from Marienbad (Mariánské Lázně) built around 1900–1935 an extensive systematic collection of minerals. Minerals were bought, exchanged and personally collected at localities in the wide vicinity of Mariánské Lázně. She had extensive contacts with collectors of minerals in Bohemia and Germany and professional mineralogists in Austria and Bohemia, including mineralogists from the National Museum in Prague. In the 1970s, an iron axe head was discovered on the banks of the Skawa River in Jaroszowice (Wadowice district). This richly decorated find wa s brought years later by the finder’s son to the Sucha Beskidzka Municipal Museum. According to M. Głosek’s typology, the find can be classified as type VIII and dated in a broad time frame of the late medieval and the early post-medieval period.
