Abstract:
An important link in the analysis of the longevity of details by the criterion of fatigue strength is the calculation of parameters that take into account the peculiarities of the technological regime in terms of load and the corresponding number of cycles that affect the accumulation of fatigue failure. The final range of loads of knitting needles of automatic half-hose machine was based on the systematization of amplitudes of forces depending on the frequency of their implementation. Previous works has assumed the assumption of a one interaction of the needle heel with the cams, which is exp

Needle-punching conditions determine the structure of nonwoven fabrics and the structure determines their tensile properties. However, the structural parameters of nonwoven fabrics and the relationship between these parameters and tensile properties have not been quantitatively analyzed. Therefore, we analyzed the structure of needle-punched nonwoven fabrics by X-ray computed tomography (XCT). The relationships between the needle-punching conditions, tensile properties, and structural parameters, such as fiber-volume fraction and three-dimensional fiber orientation, were investigated. This paper demonstrates the combustibility of PI needle punched nonwovens by Cone Calorimeter. Ignition parameter, heat release parameters, smoke and toxicity parameters and mass loss parameters of the fabric were obtained from it. It was found that ignition time is 38 s; the peak of heat release rate is 65 kW/m2; total heat release is 7 MJ/m2; smoke release rate is 1.5 L/s; smoke factor is 1.3 MW/m2 and mass lose rate is 73.3%. Therefore the results show that PI needle punched nonwovens has excellent fire-resistance performance.

Advanced dispensing technology is urgently needed to improve the jetting performance of fluid to meet the requirements of electronic product integration and miniaturization. In this work, an on–off valve piezostack-driven dispenser was used as a study object to investigate the effect of needle structure on jetting performance. Based on fluid dynamics, we investigated nozzle cavity pressure and jet velocity during the dispensing process using theoretical simulation for needles with and without a side cap. The results showed that the needle with a side cap had larger jet velocity and was capable

The governing partial differential equations are transformed into ordinary differential equations using appropriate similarity transformations and then solved numerically by employing MATLAB’s Bvp4c solver. The primary focus lies in examining the influence of various dimensionless parameters, including the mixed convection parameter, power-law index, buoyancy parameters, bioconvection parameters, and needle siz

Patients undergoing a percutaneous bone biopsy often complain of pain during needle insertion, despite local anesthesia. Bone biopsy needles are typically inserted with combined axial and twisting motions. These motions could cause pain through frictional heating or direct mechanical irritation. The hypothesis of this study is that the insertion energy of bone biopsy needles can be reduced by modifying the insertion kinetics or by adding a friction-lowering coating to the needles.
