Abstract:
Prema tekstološkoj usporedbi brevijarske legende prevode latinsku Nikolinu hagiografiju Vita auctore Iohanne diacono Neapolitano (BHL 6105) i pripadaju korpusu zapadnoeuropskih srednjovjekovnih Nikolinih hagiografija.

Abstract:

Abstract:
Srpska akademija nauka i umetnosti posvetila je 2022. godinu akademiku Nikoli Dobroviću (Pečuj, 12. 2. 1897 - Beograd, 11. 1. 1967) i obeležavanju jubileja povodom 125 godina od rođenja ovog istaknutog jugoslovenskog i srpskog arhitekte modernog doba. Izložba "Nikola Dobrović - pod zastavama modernih pokreta" autora prof. dr Marte Vukotić Lazar i mr Bojana Kovačevića (otvorena u Galeriji Srpske akademije nauka i umetnosti, 24. maja 2022. godine, a trajaće do 2. oktobra 2022) zauzima centralno mesto u Programu obeležavanja jubileja.

Abstract:
Nikola Tesla (1856 –1943) was a true visionary far ahead of his contemporaries in the field of scientific development. He was one of the greatest and most enigmatic scientists who played a key role in the development of electro magnetism and other scientific discoveries of his time. Accompanied by blinding flashes of light, he would often visualise mechanical and theoretical inventions spontaneously. He had a unique capacity to visualise images in his head. When working on projects, he would rarely write down plans or scale drawings, but rely on the images in his mind. Abstract:
Nikola Tesla (1856-1943) is a Serbian-American scientist, inventor, and electro and mechanical engineer who provided mankind with a large number of discoveries and inventions. Tesla is most famous for conceiving the rotating magnetic field principle and then using it to invent the induction motor together with the accompanying alternating current long-distance long-electrical transmission system. His patents and theoretical work still form the basis for modern alternating current electric power (AC) systems including the polyphase power distribution system.

Abstract:
Product development has been approached by linear methods that apply to any design problem without concern of ambient variables. In this approach, we will find a new matrix method that can deliver a basic path in which the designer can begin his journey, but adaptable to accept ambient variables. Nikola Tesla in his book “The Strange Life of Nikola Tesla” (1914) told us: “Thus I have been led unconsciously to evolve what I consider a new method of materializing inventive concepts and ideas, which is radially opposite to the purely experimental and is in my opinion ever so much more expeditious and efficient. The moment one constructs a device to carry into practice a crude idea, he finds himself unavoidably engrossed with the details of the apparatus. As he goes on improving and reconstructing, his force of concentration diminishes and he loses sight of the great underlying principle. Results may be obtained, but always at the sacrifice of quality. My method is different. I do not rush into actual work. When I get an idea, I start at once building it up in my imagination. I change the construction, make improvements, and operate the device in my mind. It is immaterial to me whether I run my turbine in thought or test it in my shop. I even note if it is out of balance. There is no difference whatever; the results are the same. In this way, I can rapidly develop and perfect a conception without touching anything. When I have gone as far as to embody in the invention every possible improvement I can think of and see no fault anywhere, I put into concrete form this final product of my brain. Invariably my device works as I conceived that it should, and the experiment comes out exactly as I planned it. In twenty years, there has not been a single exception. Why should it be otherwise? Engineering, electrical and mechanical, is positive in results. There is scarcely a subject that cannot be examined beforehand, from the available theoretical and practical data.” Tesla’s approach to design tells us to base the creative energy in the conceptual design. For a designer to get the best results, the method suggests three steps: Preparation, Exploration, and Conceptual Design. In preparation, the designer must open his mind and learn how to handle his creative muscle, exploration will guide him thru the path of knowledge thru science, and technology, and when he has all the tools on hand will begin the conceptual design. Once a conceptual design is acquired with the details Tesla suggested, nearly anyone with modeling skills can make the detailed design. The aim of this work is to explain in detail the method which is proposed, and to show a testing of the method. The creativity test selected was the Creativity Styles Questionnaire-Revised (CSQ-R) applied to groups of students of engineering, and design schools which were confronted to a design challenge using this method, and to a control group who has never been in contact with the method.

Abstract:
The article studies the results of the research aimed at the improvement of the methodology of develop- ment of the health-preserving competence of a Physical Education teacher in conditions of post-graduate education on the basis of Nikolai Bernstein’s theory of movement construction using virtual reality technologies. Based on the use of AR/VR technologies a software application “Virtual Model Illustrating Nikolai Bernstein’s Theory of Movement Construction” was developed. The stated model is one of the tools of the “Methodology of development of the health preserving competence of a Physical Educa- tion teacher on the basis of Nikolai Bernstein’s theory of the levels of movement construction”. The experimental study determines that the application of the virtual model within the stated methodology is an effective tool for the development of the health preserving competence of a Physical Education teacher. The application of the virtual model allows the actualization of the health preserving, conceptual, gnoseological, biomechanical, inclusive, corrective potentials of Nikolai Bernstein’s theory of movement construction. The use of the virtual model presents the ways of targeted and meaningful use of Nikolai Bernstein’s theory of the levels of movement construction by a Physical Education teacher and the improvement of physical and recreational technologies and concrete physical exercises and movement modes. Due to the application of virtual reality tools, health-preserving, preventative, corrective and developmental strategies are being formed among which the significant ones are: “Application of syner- gistic movements to adaptation to movement activity, and recreation”, “Application of spatial movements for actualization of the orientation and search activities and development of spatial thinking”, “Use of movements with a complicated algorithm for intellect development”.

Hrynick, Tabitha, and Santiago Ripoll. Evidence Review: Achieving COVID-19 Vaccine Equity in Ealing and North West London. Institute of Development Studies (IDS), November 2021. http://dx.doi.org/10.19088/sshap.2021.040.

Abstract:
This review sets out key considerations for improving vaccine equity – as well as broader health equity – in the North West London (NWL) borough of Ealing. It foregrounds the political, economic and social dynamics which have perpetuated health inequalities during and prior to COVID-19, and how they have manifested to shape COVID-19 vaccine accessibility and uptake among different social groups. It also highlights how local actors have sought to address these inequalities. By bringing together data and insights from existing social science research and consultations with people involved in local COVID-19 vaccination efforts (in local authorities, the NHS and community groups), we point to ways local authorities and healthcare providers, in collaboration with local people and organisations, can support vaccine equity – and health equity more broadly – now, and into the future. Critical to this are further efforts to integrate sensitivity to context, sustain collaborative working, build trust and meaningfully engage citizens (especially vulnerable groups), and support a robust civil society. The review begins with summary key considerations for operational actors. This review was produced by SSHAP in collaboration with Ealing Council. It was authored by Tabitha Hrynick and Santiago Ripoll, and reviewed by Maddy Gupta-Wright, Ellen Schwartz, and Nikita Simpson. It is the responsibility of SSHAP
