Inflammation is a central feature of many chronic diseases including arthritis, immune-mediated disorders, and cardiovascular conditions. This study aims to prepare and evaluate the anti-inflammatory properties of a novel polyherbal churna composed of Ashwagandha, Nirgundi, and Sunthi. The herbs were authenticated and processed as per Ayurvedic procedures. The first half of the chapter uses the case of Prahlada to make the point that the Puranic understanding of history implies a transition from a dark prehistory into the historicity of the Puranic present.
