The present study focused on proximate composition, moisture, ash, lipid, protein, carbohydrate, dietary fiber and physicochemical properties to determine the water holding capacity, oil holding capacity, and water swelling capacity of H. valentiae red seaweed. The antioxidant properties of methanol extract were performed by superoxide and nitric oxide radical scavenging activity. Abstract:
The study aimed at evaluating the phytochemical profile and invitro antioxidant potentials of a three medicinal herbs including Calendula officinalis L, Lantana camara L., Desmodium gangeticum L. The aqueous extract of the selected plants were evaluated for phytochemical screening and antioxidant activities using DPPH, reducing power, hrdroxy radical, and nitric oxide radical scavenging assays. The present study exhibited higher yields of phytochemical constituents and noticeable antioxidative properties.
