En 1714, el colegio mercedario de San Laureano organizó un solemne ternario dedicado a San Laureano, a San José y a Nuestra Señora de la Salud. En los actos cultuales se cantaron tres "cantadas" alusivas a cada uno de ellos que probablemente fueron interpretadas sucesivamente a lo largo de los tres días. In 1714, the Mercedarian College of San Laureano organised a solemn ternary dedicated to Saint Laureano, Saint Joseph and Our Lady of Health. Three cantadas were sung to each of them in the ceremonial acts, which were probably performed one after the other over the three days.

Tras la procesión del traslado del Santo Sacramento a la nueva iglesia de los trinitarios descalzos de Málaga, se inició el octavario de las fiestas organizadas con motivo de este evento. Diferentes comunidades religiosas fueron invitadas para oficiar la misa y predicar el sermón en cada uno de los días, acompañadas por una capilla musical, probablemente la de la catedral. El 21 de septiembre de 1715, tuvo lugar la procesión del traslado de Santo Sacramento al nuevo templo de los trinitarios descalzos en Málaga. Una numerosa comitiva, en la que se intercalaban cuatro danzas, acompañaba a las imágenes titulares y a la custodia. La capilla musical de la catedral fue la encargada de solemnizar con sus voces e instrumentos este evento.
