Organizational change often involves the creation of work teams. This research examines how the creation of self-managed work teams within a particular organization affects perceived communication. <p> The quantitative, descriptive study examined workplace communication breakdowns by evaluating generational perceptions of supervisor leadership, communication and employee performance. Participants included members of the Baby Boomer generation, Generation X, and Millenials. Respondents completed an online survey that contained the Supervisor Leadership Communication Inventory.
