This thesis addresses the problem of how to examine a metabolic pathway and identify what are the key elements, specifically with respect to rate-limitation. This paper examines the Strong Resultative construction by comparing it with several path related constructions. It advances an analysis in which they all have a bounded path P. Its covert variant underlies some of the path related constructions and the Strong Resultative construction. We will see that the semantic property and the properties related with the phonetic emptiness of a bounded path P derive various characteristics of both of the constructions. I discuss implications and questions about the present analysis, one of which concerns the dual source of apparently the same meaning.

Na základě prezentovaných výsledků je možné virtuálně simulovat chování nýtových spojů při zatížení, za účelem správného návrhu před provedením statických pevnostních zkoušek. Použitím těchto MKP simulací v procesu certifikace výrobku lze významně redukovat časovou i finanční náročnost pevnostních zkoušek. Při lepším porozumění chování konstrukce lze také lépe predikovat reálnou únosnost nýtových spojů.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the most common primary liver cancer. In 2012, 782,000 HCC patients were diagnosed worldwide, and among them 746,000 died. Sorafenib is the first line systemic therapy but it only prolongs patients’ survival time by two months. The CLAVATA1 (CLV1), CLV2 and CORYNE (CRN) receptors egulate cell proliferation in shoot meristems through inhibition of WUSCHEL (WUS). Mutations in these receptors produce more floral organs. The prevailing model proposes that the extra organs are generated from enlarged floral meristems. Using forward and reverse genetics, I identified new alleles in clv1, clv2 and crn and found that most alleles only affect fruit organ number and not sepal, petal or stamen number.
