The article discusses the manifestation of the two sides of the social status of contemporary women from the Republic of Moldova: objective, reflecting the socioeconomic position, and subjective, focused on personal qualities. Comparative analysis of connections of subjective control level with personal qualities (16-factors questionnaire of R.B.Kettell) of studied women 29-56 years old and total quantity 454 persons was made in the article.
