The article highlights the issue of the emergence of an individual approach, the contribution of different authors to an individual approach, reveals the concept of a personality-oriented approach and an individual approach. Further, the current problems of using an individual approach in the physical education of students are highlighted. The article deals with the problems of individual difficulties of students, which they experience in physical culture lessons when mastering the program material.
