In the Envirothon, a national environmental contest, teams of high school students work together outdoors, solving site-based natural resource questions and problems in aquatics, forestry, soils, wildlife, and a current environmental issue. The Middle Sican culture, centered in the Lambayeque region on the north coast of Peru, began successful, intensive production of arsenical copper starting around AD 900. The excavation and analysis of Middle Sican burials has revealed that artifacts made of copper-arsenic alloys played an important role in mortuary practices and ritual activities. The purpose of this study was to describe maternal fatigue during the first six weeks postpartum. Forty-eight healthy, primiparous mothers who experienced uncomplicated vaginal births in a large urban hospital were asked to complete the Maternal Piper Fatigue Scale during their hospital stay, and at two and six weeks postpartum. Fatigue intensity was relatively high at two days and two weeks, but had significantly declined to a relatively "normal" level by six weeks postpartum. The topic was suggested by the discovery of the classical Uruk sites in the Meskene area, which seemed to reflect the unexpected phenomenon of the transfer of a fully fledged material culture in an area widely separated from those where the same culture formed and developed. In the first part we study the uniformity in the shifts in the asymptotic formulae for the second moment of the Riemann zeta-function and the first moments of the Hecke and the quadratic Dirichlet L-functions.
