Abstract A new type of micromotors, which employed piezoelectric polymer films, polyvinylidence fluoride (PVDF), had been fabricated. The polymer films with thickness 45μm, poling along thickness direction had been used with piezoelectric constant d33 = 19 to 22pcN−1. Aluminum had been evaporated on both faces of the films as electrode plates. The stators were formed by bonding PVDF films to brass diaphragms. The diaphragm thickness was 300μm.
