Several real world applications involve solving combinatorial optimization problems. Commonly, existing heuristic approaches are designed to address specific difficulties of the underlying problem and are applicable only within its framework. We suspect, however, that search spaces of combinatorial problems are rich in intuitive statistical and numerical information, which could be exploited heuristically in a generic manner, towards achievement of optimized solutions. Our work presents such a heuristic methodology, which can be adequately configured for several types of optimization problems.

This Research problem is high order thinking of students still low. Teaching is oriented by the teacher and the teacher is giving less motivation to the student. The Teacher seldom gives the question to student about high order thinking and the students look for the answer. This research aims to describe the implementation and the increasing of student high order thinking in studying social science by using model learning base problem. This research method is action research in class. This method adapt the model from Taggart and Kemmis conducted with two cycles in the class at SD Neg Makassar.

Abstract : The Independent Curriculum is a solution to the tight competition for human resources in the 21st century. The critical thinking skills needed in the 21st century can be improved through studying chemistry, especially acid-base materials. The problem-solving learning model is an appropriate learning model for understanding acid-base materials and can improve students’ critical thinking skills. Learning media that can be used in chemistry learning are electronic modules. The aim of this research is to develop a problem-solving-oriented e-module to improve critical thinking skil

Different reinforcement learning (RL) methods exist to address the problem of combining multiple different learners to generate a superior learner. These existing methods usually assume that each learner uses the same algorithm and/or state representation. We propose an ensemble learner that combines a set of base learners and leverages the strengths of the different base learners online. We demonstrate the proposed ensemble learner’s ability to combine the strengths of multiple base learners and adapt to changes in base learner performance on various domains, including the Atari Breakout doma

Concept learning from examples in first-order languages has been widely studied recently. Specifically, many systems that integrate inductive learning and explanation-based learning have been proposed. However, concept learning is only a subproblem of the problem of knowledge base (which is referred to as a theory in first-order logic) revision. This is mainly because concept learning methods utilize background knowledge without regard to whether the knowledge is perfect or imperfect, while a knowledge base revision system should revise the knowledge base to be consistent with all environmenta
