According to the material feminist corpus, namely Stacy Alaimo’s concept of trans-corporeality, material flows and interconnectivity between humans and their environment insists that the human body has never been atomistic, but rather a porous figure that continually interacts/intra-acts with its environment. The recent biotechnological boom allowing for the production of human-animal hybrids (chimeras) provides the kind of visualization of these interconnectivities that can help instigate a reconception of the human—as not human at all, but rather posthuman. This dissertation examines the representations of the body in the completed dramatic works of Heinrich von Kleist (1777--1811). While taking into account the psychoanalytical and philosophical approaches to Kleist, this project has Heiner Miller's words as its point of departure: that the theater represents the collision of ideas with the body. The forces of power, gender and authority leave their traces of this collision on the bodies of his characters, whose metaphorical and literal falls, wounds and recoveries speak their own gestural language.<br>This study is organized on the principle of

Huegler, Nathalie. "Social work with separated young people and human rights : cross-national perspectives on practitioners' approaches." Thesis, London Metropolitan University, 2016. http://repository.londonmet.ac.uk/1019/.

Abstract:
This thesis considers social work practice with separated young people who have migrated to Germany and the UK, with a specific focus on the role of human rights perspectives within practitioners’ approaches. The conceptual starting points are the contradictions between human rights frameworks which are commonly conceptualised as universal and inclusive, and the exclusive responses of Western states towards 'irregular' and asylum migration. These contradictions are enhanced and complicated by binary conceptualisations of childhood and adulthood, affording children different rights from adults.

Abstract:
The mental health and wellbeing of our children and young people is at the forefront of the educational agenda, with academic achievement and life prospects severely compromised for children with conduct disorder (CD) and oppositional defiant disorder (ODD). Effective treatments for this client group include those based on cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). However, a subgroup of children with CD, those who also present with high-level callous-unemotional (CU) traits, have been identified, with the relationship between CU traits and treatment effectiveness as yet unclear.
