Background Diabetes management is complex, and program personalization has been identified to enhance engagement and clinical outcomes in diabetes management programs. However, 50% of individuals living with diabetes are unable to achieve glycemic control, presenting a gap in the delivery of self-management education and behavior change. Machine learning and recommender systems, which have been used within the health care setting, could be a feasible application for diabetes management programs to provide a personalized user experience and improve user engagement and outcomes. It has been shown recently that successful techniques in classical planning, such as goal-oriented heuristics and landmarks, can improve the ability to compute planning programs for generalized planning (GP) problems. Belief-based programming is a probabilistic extension of the GOLOG program family where every action and sensing result can be noisy and every test condition refers to the agent’s subjective beliefs. Inherited from GOLOG programs, the action-centered feature makes belief programs fairly suitable for high-level robot control under uncertainty. An important step before deploying such a program is to verify whether it satisfies certain properties. At least two problems exist in verifying such programs: how to formally specify program properties and what is the complexity of the verification probl

Therefore, existing work on automatic exploration typically either manually defines a game's action space or imprecisely guesses the possible actions. AbstractMany program verification tools provide automation via SMT solvers, allowing them to automatically discharge many proofs. However, when a proof fails, it can be hard to understand why it failed or how to fix it. The main feedback the developer receives is simply the verification result (i.e., success or failure), with no visibility into the solver’s internal state. To assist developers using such tools, we introduce ProofPlumber, a novel and extensible proof-action framework for understanding and debugging proof failures. Abstract:
The Golog action programming language is a powerful means to express high-level behaviours in terms of programs over actions defined in a Situation Calculus theory. In particular for physical systems, verifying that the program satisfies certain desired temporal properties is often crucial, but undecidable in general, the latter being due to the language’s high expressiveness in terms of first-order quantification and program constructs. So far, approaches to achieve decidability involved restrictions where action effects either had to be contextfree (i.e. not depend on the current state), loc

Abstract:
High-level action programming languages such as Golog have successfully been used to model the behavior of autonomous agents. In addition to a logic-based action formalism for describing the environment and the effects of basic actions, they enable the construction of complex actions using typical programming language constructs. To ensure that the execution of such complex actions leads to the desired behavior of the agent, one needs to specify the required properties in a formal way, and then verify that these requirements are met by any execution of the program. Due to the expressiveness of

Abstract:
A knowledge-based program defines the behavior of an agent by combining primitive actions, programming constructs and test conditions that make explicit reference to the agent’s knowledge. In this paper we consider a setting where an agent is equipped with a Description Logic (DL) knowledge base providing general domain knowledge and an incomplete description of the initial situation. We introduce a corresponding new DL-based action language that allows for representing both physical and sensing actions, and that we then use to build knowledge-based programs with test conditions expressed in t

Abstract:
State Wildlife Action Plans (SWAPs) are important vehicles for connectivity conservation. State wildlife agencies must complete State Wildlife Action Plans (SWAPs) to qualify for funding from the State Wildlife Grants program, which was established in 2000 to support the conservation of at-risk species and their habitat. Since that time, SWAPs have become recognized as “conservation blueprints” that compile the best available science, identify conservation priorities, and promote coordination across various partners. This report provides SWAP planners and partners with a comprehensive “menu” o

Abstract:
The verification problem for action logic programs with non-terminating behaviour is in general undecidable. In this paper, we consider a restricted setting in which the problem becomes decidable. On the one hand, we abstract from the actual execution sequences of a non-terminating program by considering infinite sequences of actions defined by a Büchi automaton. On the other hand, we assume that the logic underlying our action formalism is a decidable description logic rather than full first-order predicate logic.
