We formulate the relationship of quasi-Laplacian energy of some novel classes of graphs with their corresponding original graphs. The novel graphs in our discussion are the -graph, -graph, -graph, total graph, and their join and corona operations graphs. The whole formulation is based on the relationship between quasi-Laplacian energy and the vertex degrees of the novel graph. It is also noted that quasi-Laplacian energy is closely related with the first Zagreb index, number of vertices and edges of the graph. The exact formulas of quasi-Laplacian energy of novel graphs are obtained in terms o

This paper is devoted to the study of the quasi-total strong differential of a graph, and it is a contribution to the Special Issue “Theoretical computer science and discrete mathematics” of Symmetry. Given a vertex x∈V(G) of a graph G, the neighbourhood of x is denoted by N(x). The neighbourhood of a set X⊆V(G) is defined to be N(X)=⋃x∈XN(x), while the external neighbourhood of X is defined to be Ne(X)=N(X)∖X. Now, for every set X⊆V(G) and every vertex x∈X, the external private neighbourhood of x with respect to X is defined as the set Pe(x,X)={y∈V(G)∖X:N(y)∩X={x}}. Let Xw={x∈X:Pe(x,X)≠⌀}. Th

Domination theory is a well-established topic in graph theory, as well as one of the most active research areas. Interest in this area is partly explained by its diversity of applications to real-world problems, such as facility location problems, computer and social networks, monitoring communication, coding theory, and algorithm design, among others. In the last two decades, the functions defined on graphs have attracted the attention of several researchers. The Roman-dominating functions and their variants are one of the main attractions. The buy-at-bulk network design problem has been extensively studied in the general graph model. In this paper, we consider geometric versions of the problem, where all points in a Euclidean space are candidates for network nodes, and present the first general approach for solving them. It enables us to obtain quasi-polynomial-time approximation schemes for basic variants of the buy-at-bulk geometric network design problem with polynomial total demand. Then, for instances with a single sink and low capacity links, we design fast polynomial-time, low-constant approximation algorithms.

We consider the problem of constructing a median for an odd set of linear order relations defined on a finite set A = {a1,a2,..., an}, which is also sought in the class of linear order relations. We arrive at a similar problem when considering some group choice problems. The distance between binary relations is the Hamming distance between their adjacency matrices. In the case under consideration, the binary relation ρ, which has the minimum total distance to the given set of binary relations, is the median for these relations and, moreover, is unique. However, this median is not always transi

Упругие деформации определяются из соотношений закона Дюамеля–Неймана. Выбирается условие пластичности, не зависящее от первого инварианта тензора напряжений. При определении напряже

Introduction: Idiopathic granulomatous mastitis (IGM) is a rare, benign, and chronic inflammatory breast condition that has been shown to have radiological and clinical similarities to breast cancer. In spite of the fact that the cause of IGM is unknown, various contributing variables have been identified, such as a reaction to chemical substances like OCP, viral disorders, autoimmune diseases, and an immunological response to milk leakage from the breast lobule. Although various methods have been used for IGM treatment (such as surgical excision, steroids, methotrexate, etc), no consensus cur

The Wiener index of a graph G denoted by W(G) is the sum of distances between all (unordered) pairs of vertices of G. In practice G corresponds to what is known as the molecular graph of an organic compound. In this paper, we obtain the Wiener index of quasi-total graph and its complement for some standard class of graphs, we give bounds for Wiener index of quasi-total graph and its complement also establish Nordhaus-Gaddum type of inequality for it.

A total coloring of a graph is an assignment of colors to all the elements (vertices and edges) of the graph such that no two adjacent or incident elements receive the same color. A claw-free graph is a graph that does not have [Formula: see text] as an induced subgraph. Quasi-line and inflated graphs are two well-known classes of claw-free graphs. In this paper, we prove that the quasi-line and inflated graphs are totally colorable. In particular, we prove the tight bound of the total chromatic number of some classes of quasi-line graphs and inflated graphs.

AbstractThe performance of quasi‐cyclic low‐density parity‐check codes is closely tied to the number of short cycles. Here, a method is proposed to accurately count short cycles within the base matrix. By searching for all distinct and non‐redundant cyclic paths and combining the number of cycles from each path, the total number of short cycles is obtained. These results demonstrate that the complexity of our algorithm is independent of the code length and directly proportional to the number of edges in the base graph. Moreover, as the lifting degree of the codes increases, the proposed algori

Rooted into statistical physics, the ERGMs framework has been successfully employed for reconstructing networks, detecting statistically significant patterns in graphs, counting networked configurations with given properties. In CVRP, introduced by Dantzig and Ramser in 1959 [14], we are given a graph G = ( V , E ) with metric edges costs, a depot r ∈ V , and a vehicle of bounded capacity Q . The goal is to find a minimum cost collection of tours for the vehicle that returns to the depot, each visiting at most Q nodes, such that they cover all the nodes. This generalizes classic TSP and has been studied extensively. In the more general setting, each node v has a demand d v and the total deman
