We present the relativistic treatment of the Hellmann-generalized Morse potential using Nikiforov-Uvarov(NU) method. The relativistic equations(Klein-Gordon and Dirac equation) were solved using the conventional NU method. In order to overcome the centrifugal barrier, we employed the well-known Greene and Aldrich approximation scheme. The corresponding normalized eigenfunctions was also obtained in each case. It was shown that in the non-relativistic limits, both energy equations obtained by solving Klein-Gordon and Dirac equations, and wavefunctions reduced to the non-relativisitc energy Equa

The energy-loss effect of the projectile for direct inner-shell ionization cross sections by charged-particle impact has been examined. The relativistic and nonrelativistic calculations for K-shell ionization with and without the energy-loss effect are made in the plane-wave Born approximation and compared with the Brandt-Lapicki theory for the corrections of the relativistic and energy-loss effect. It is demonstrated that the Brandt-Lapicki method gives a good approximation to both relativistic and nonrelativistic cross sections, which implicitly take into account the energy-loss effect. Howe

AbstractRelativistic jets are one of the most powerful manifestations of the release of energy produced around supermassive black holes at the centre of active galactic nuclei (AGN). Their emission is observed across the entire electromagnetic spectrum, from the radio band to gamma rays. Despite decades of efforts, many aspects of the physics of relativistic jets remain elusive. In particular, the location and the mechanisms responsible for the high-energy emission and the connection of the variability at different wavelengths are among the greatest challenges in the study of AGN. On these cosmological scales, surveys can in principle provide the best constraints on dark energy (DE) and modified gravity models and will be able to test general relativity itself.
