The Sudbury Neutrino Observatory solved the solar neutrino problem, confirming neutri- nos have non-zero masses. The Super-K experiment determined that neutrinos are massive particles by observing the oscillation of atmospheric neutrinos. The SNO experiment confirmed this measurement by observing neutrinos from the Sun. The SNO+ experiment is intended to study the nature of neutrino masses by replacing the heavy water used in SNO with scintillator. The main goal of the experiment is to search for neutrinoless double-beta decay within 130Te. The SNO+ detector is much more sensitive to radioactive contamination than the SNO experiment. A conspicuous feature of plants responding to pathogen invasion is the synthesis of nitric oxide (NO), a redox signal. NO regulates protein function by S-nitrosylation, the addition of an NO moiety to a cysteine thiol to form an S-nitrosothiol. A key theme of NO function is reprogramming plant immune-related gene expression. However, it is still not clear how the NO signal is translated into transcriptional changes. Here we explored the potential role of a sub-group of SNO Regulated Genes (SRGs) uncovered by global expression profiling. Firstly, transgenic plants containing the SRG1 or SRG3 pr

Abstract:
SNO+ is a multipurpose neutrino experiment located at SNOLAB. Its key purpose is investigating the neutrinoless double beta decay of 130Te, amongst other physics goals such as solar and reactor neutrino oscillations. The success of the experiment depends on the understanding of the optical properties of the detection materials, as well as a good understanding of potential background contributions. The calibration system used to study the Rayleigh scattering properties of the detector is presented and methods to model the system in Monte Carlo simulations based on commissioning run data are int
