This study aimed to investigate carbon storage dynamics in pure pine, oak, and mixed forests within a one-hectare area. Tree samples were collected to measure their weight, size, and density. Each type of forest was estimated how much carbon is hold per hectare. The findings revealed significant differences in carbon storage capacities among them. Pure oak forests emerged as the top carbon reservoirs, with 57% of their trees' mass comprising carbon. Pure pine forests followed closely with 51% carbon storage. The amount of carbon deposited by young scots pine of the I-th age class in the conditions of the Voronezh region from 2014 to 2023 has been calculated. The average height of pines from one year to 11 years old was obtained according to the schedule of average heights by age. This report presents baseline (2016–2019) results from Ungulate Management Plan (UMP) monitoring of sensitive and important wetlands at Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve (GRSA) by the Rocky Mountain Network.
