The article is devoted to the description of the features of functional programming, considered as a methodology for solving new and research problems of applied and system programming. The technique of analysis and comparison of programming paradigms is involved, taking into account the priorities of decision-making in the process of developing programs. The methodology for comparing languages and programming paradigms is based on an informal definition of the term “programming paradigm”, according to which, when comparing paradigms, it is necessary to highlight the distinctive testable featu

AbstractThe subtraction and covariance paradigms are two analytic techniques used with functional neuroimaging data. The first assumes that a brain region participating in a task should show altered neural activity (relative to a control task). The second assumes that tasks are mediated by networks of interacting regions.Images of mind attempts to link results from the subtraction paradigm with a network interpretation that could have been more explicitly done using the covariance paradigm.

Out of the four main programming paradigms, it is widely considered that functional programming is the most promising. The programming languages that implement the functional paradigm generally do so either in a pure manner, such as Haskell, or by providing a multi-paradigm programming solution, such as most Lisp dialects, in order to allow side effects, which are proscribed under the former (pure) model. Nevertheless, tracking the execution steps of such a functional program remains challenging for the programmer. In this paper, the author addresses this issue by proposing a novel programming

Relevance of usage for each of them as well as their differences and benefits were analyzed. Regardless of ever-changing tendencies in popularity of both paradigms it is impossible to acknowledge any of them to deprecate another one. Although object-oriented programming as well as functional programming are essential in their approaches they have the same goal – to make comprehensive programs without possible mistakes. O

Such is the case in Shawnee; there are person-marking inflections on the verb for both A and O, but there is not set order. This thesis aims to explore the role of executive functions in multitasking. Research has shown that severe performance decrements often arise in dual-task performance, also called multitasking, as compared to single task performance. This reflects a limitation in processing temporally overlapping information. Interference between tasks arises due to a bottleneck process limited to processing only one task at a time. It has been proposed that this interference is resolved by executive functions. However, the dual-task paradigm employed in this thesis, Psychological Refractory Period (PRP) para

From a realistic point of view, markets are about matching, while banking is about mismatching. There are varying perspectives in the literature (and in practice) about whether and to what extent public sector leadership is different to that of other sectors. Van Wart’s (2013) three theses capture different schools of thought about the extent to which public sector leadership is different (o

Abstract:
This work deals with the new, relativistic direction in quantum econophysics, within the bounds of which a change of the classical paradigms in mathematical modelling of socio-economic system is offered. Classical physics proceeds from the hypothesis that immediate values of all the physical quantities, characterizing system’s state, exist and can be accurately measured in principle. Non-relativistic quantum mechanics does not reject the existence of the immediate values of the classical physical quantities, nevertheless not each of them can be simultaneously measured (the uncertainty principle

Abstract:
A novel triadic suite of flight technologies is introduced by developing, articulating and integrating ground-effect, free amphibian flight and orbital flight capabilities into a triadic system-of-systems able to seamlessly operate across all three mobility paradigms. The triad is then implemented onto our new purpose-designed hydro-aerospace vehicle, propelled by latest-generation micro-reactors for industry-leading aerospace thrust, whilst providing long-range carbon-free flight mobility and autonomy. The vehicle structure and materials are further optimized for a seamless switch between sta

Abstract:
The COP9 signalosome (CSN) is an eight-subunit protein complex that is highly conserved among eukaryotes. Genetic analysis of the signalosome in the plant model species Arabidopsis thaliana has shown that the signalosome is a repressor of light dependent seedling development as mutant Arabidopsis seedlings that lack this complex develop in complete darkness as if exposed to light. These mutant plants die following the seedling stage, even when exposed to light, indicating that the COP9 signalosome also has a central role in the regulation of normal photomorphogenic development.
