Literature and Cinema are among the best means of communicating with people. Literature is believed to be the mirror of society. Literature and Cinema are artistic expressions of human experience and mind. It is said whatever occurs in society is reflected in cinema and literature. Literature exists with the existence of humanity. It is the consequential fusion of substance, style, meaning, and medium. Literature consists of sundry genera like Poetry, Prose, drama short stories, novels, and many more. Cinema is one of the most noteworthy innovations of the nineteenth century. It’s a wonderful

Reflections on the relationship between film and literature seem to focus on film adaptations, while the transformation of a film into a novel remains a less known practice. In my paper, I propose to address some of the questions raised by Nathalie Léger’s contemporary literary novelisation, Suite for Barbara Loden. While examining how this type of adaptation establishes an intermedial dialogue between cinema and literature, I intend to explore how the operation of modulation allows the filmic narrative to become more than a simple “mould for the novelistic hypotext”, to become the pre/text fo

The creative exchange between literature and cinema began in the last decade of the 19th century. The key difference between the two is the perception of the visual image and the concept of the mental image. Film is considered a branch of literature.
