The objective of this paper is to evaluate drivers’ risk perception toward crash related traffic rule violations and identify violations that are perceived as low risk to better educate drivers. Risk perceptions on crash related traffic rule violations was gathered from 3,593 participants as a part of Naturalistic Driving Study. The variations in risk perceptions by driver characteristics such as age, gender, education, and household income were studied. The risk perception of violating traffic rules was observed to increase with an increase in drivers’ age, except for driving under the influe

Therefore, this paper uses the historical data of Chongqing Liangjiang Public Transportation Co., Ltd. bus driver safety violations, service violations, and road traffic accidents from January to June 2022 and constructs road traffic accident prediction models using Extra Trees, BP Neural Network, Support Vector Machine, Gradient Boosting Tree, and XGBoost. The effects of safety and service violations on vehicular accidents are investigated. The quality of the prediction models is measured by five indicators: goodness of

Risky and aggressive driving maneuvers are considered a significant indicator for traffic accident occurrence as well as they aggravate their severity. Traffic violations caused by such uncivilized driving behavior is a global issue. Studies in existing literature have used statistical analysis methods to explore key contributing factors toward aggressive driving and traffic violations. However, such methods are unable to capture latent correlations among predictor variables, and they also suffer from low prediction accuracies. ABSTRACT The Smart Traffic Management and Violation Detection System integrates AI and Computer Vision to optimize traffic control and detect violations. By analyzing real-time video feeds from surveillance cameras, it adjusts traffic signal timings based on vehicle density, reducing congestion and delays. The system automatically detects violations such as red light jumping, helmetless riding, over speeding, and wrong-lane driving using object detection and OCR techniques. Violators’ license plates are recorded, and penalty notices are generated automatically. This solution enhances road safe
