This thesis reports on a new implementation of high quality factor (Q) copper (Cu) inductors on CMOS-grade (10-20ohm.cm) silicon (Si) substrates using a fully CMOS-compatible process. A low-temperature (less than300C) fabrication sequence is employed to reduce the loss of Si wafers at RF frequencies by trenching the Si substrate. The high aspect-ratio (30:1) trenches are subsequently bridged over or refilled with a low-loss material to close the open areas and to create a rigid low-loss island (Trenched Si Island) on which the inductors can be fabricated. This Project presents T-CAD simulation of buffered trench gate MOSFET (BTG-MOSFET), and GaN buffered trench gate MOSFET (GaN-BTG MOSFET). The electrical attributes of the devices are contrasted with conventional trench gate MOSFET (CTG-MOSFET). A comparative study between various performance factors, for example, electric field, electron velocity, electron mobility, the threshold voltage (Vth), and sub-threshold swing (SS) of the devices has been performed. Film cooling is a technique whereby air from the compressor stage of a gas turbine engine is diverted for cooling purposes to parts, such as the turbine stage, that operate at very high temperatures. Cooling arrangements include impingement jets, finned, ribbed and turbulated channels, and rows of film cooling holes, all of which over the years have become progressively more complex. Stag Hill is an example of a slope failure in London Clay. In 1964 it was proposed to develop the area, so the slope was stabilized using a drainage system and heavy buildings were constructed on piled foundations. Piezometers were also installed to establish the pore pressure pattern. In 1985 a general evaluation of the history of the failure, stabilization and development of the area was undertaken.
