Test anxiety is an individual personality trait, which results in elevated state anxiety in situations of performance evaluation. For school-age children, high-stakes examinations occurring at the culmination of programmes of study are where they frequently experience such evaluation. <p> Little is known about the impact of ethnic microaggressions (MA) on stress reactivity. The purpose of the current study was to examine how the frequency with which college students (<i>n</i> = 109) experience MA and their reactions to them relate to a biomarker of stress (i.e. salivary cortisol).
