Results indicate that Deltapine Acala 90 is more susceptible to Alternaria leaf spot than other Gossypium hirsutum varieties tested but that it is less susceptible than the G. barbadense varieties Pima S-5 and Pima S-6.

Nous avons exploré la diversité génétique du complexe d'espèces Ralstonia solanacearum (ceRs) pour caractériser et comprendre les graves épidémies de flétrissement bactérien qui sévissent à Madagascar. Une large collection de souches (n=1224; 75 sites) est constituée. Les souches sont assignées aux phylotypes I, III, et la grande majorité associée à l'épidémie appartiennent au groupe IIB-1 (‘Brown rot’ des anglo-saxons) signalé pour la première fois à Madagascar.
