The experimental research example of electrical characteristics of structurally heterogeneous thinlayer conductors (nickel, copper) at high current density (108--109 А/m2) is shown. This current density in conditions of the samples intensive cooling is sufficient for the process of irreversible, nonthermally activated deformation. The experiment results show that the conducting medium at high current density has essential nonlinearities expressed in nonlinear dependence of the samples electrical resistance from current density. The search for a stand density that maximizes total volume growth has continued since the beginning of forestry without producing a definite answer. One of the reasons is that the effect of density on growth is not always separated from those of tree size and age. Such a separation is not easy when the relationship between density and growth is expressed as a graph (Langsaeter's curve). This study develops a simple model that accounts for each main growth predictor individually. These expressions can be obtained from volume integrations for the electric potential V, or the magnetic vector potential A→, in which the integrals are restricted to the material volumes delimited by their respective boundaries. Our analysis is based on expressing the volume charge density as a function of the current density and coordinates only, i.e. ρ=ρ(J,z), while in the usual scheme the volume charge density is expressed as a function of the current density and electrostatic potential, i.e. ρ=ρ(J,V). We show that, in the case of slow varying charge density, the space-charge-limited current is reduced up to 50%. Our approach gives the well-known behavior of the classical current density

Abstract:
Iron County is a semi-rural area in southwestern Utah that is experiencing an increase in residential development. Although much of the development is on community sewer systems, many subdivisions use septic tank soil-absorption systems for wastewater disposal. Many of these septic-tank systems overlie the basin-fill deposits that compose the principal aquifer for the area. The purpose of our study is to provide tools for waterresource management and land-use planning. In this study we (1) characterize the water quality of four areas in Iron County (Newcastle, Kanarraville, Summit, and Paragon

Abstract:
There is current interest in the use of hydrogen to meet the climate change decarbonization goals for energy and transportation. While hydrogen is currently produced and transported in large quantities in the United States, the majority is transported through dedicated hydrogen pipeline systems. Very little is known about the operational risks associated with injecting hydrogen into pipelines that have been optimized for natural gas or repurposing those pipelines for pure hydrogen transportation. Hydrogen has widely different thermodynamic properties compared to methane dominant natural gas, m

Abstract:
The present study examines the relationships between structure (floristic composition, dendrometric parameters), diversity (diversity and evenness indexes) of urban forest park stands and the ecological (soil fertility, soil moisture), environmental factors (air pollution). The study is based on the forest park stands inventory data, performed from 2012 to 2017 in Kryvyi Rih City, Central Ukraine. The floristic compositions of the urban forest park stands are poor. There are only 23 species that belong to 14 families and 12 genera. More families were represented by at least more than 2% of tax

Biofuels must transition to second-generation cellulosic feedstocks while improving land and soil management. Electrofuels, or "e-fuels,” require aggressive cost reduction in hydrogen production, carbon capture, and fuel synthesis. Hydrogen has great potential for energy efficiency, cost reduction, and emissions reduction; however, its low density (even in liquid form) combined with it’s extrem

The quantification of 99mTc labeled biomarkers can add unique value in many different settings, ranging from clinical trials of investigation new drugs to the treatment of individual patients with marketed therapeutics. For example, goals of precision medicine include using companion radiopharmaceutical diagnostics as just-in-time, predictive biomarkers for selecting patients to receive targeted treatments, customizing doses of internally administered radiotherapeutics, and assessing responses to treatment. This Profile describes quantitative outcome measures that represent proxies of target c
