The mass production of medical wastes has tested the safety of urban public health, and the recovery and disposal of medical wastes is imminent. Under various environmental backgrounds, such as the sudden increase in the number of medical wastes, the late start of the medical waste recycling industry in China, the low disposal rate, and the improper treatment of medical wastes affecting the environment and personal safety, medical wastes should be managed in a timely and standardized manner, and effective strategies should be put forward to minimize the environmental pollution caused by medica

With the development of agriculture in India, the production of agricultural wastes increased rapidly. Basically these wastes are bio products and are very important for survival of animals and human beings. The occurrence of agricultural wastes is unique in the different areas. The agricultural straw and livestock excrement are considered to be potential resources. These substances are widely available on earth and can be a good source of energy or be converted into useful products. Abstract:
This working paper shows how Maldives can boost recycling to strengthen its solid waste management strategy, protect its blue ocean economy, and create green business opportunities to support its long-term sustainable growth. Estimating under 2 percent of plastic waste is recycled in the island nation, it outlines how factors including high costs, inefficient collection efforts, and a lack of reprocessing facilities are hobbling recycling efforts. It recommends Maldives set up public-private partnerships with waste exporters and recyclers, incentivize domestic demand, and build a modern waste

Turning waste into high-quality products should be the aim of recycling, but it requires considerable effort to separate specific materials from others, clean them properly, and reconvert them into products. Such a process chain of mechanical recycling of post‑consumer polypropylene (PP) from a mixed waste collection was conducted with an advanced combination of state‑of‑the‑art technologies considering the material’s decontamination throughout the different process steps. The levels of solid and volatile contamination were analyzed with an optical control system and a gas chromatographic meth

On military installations, an average of 1.2 pounds in food waste is disposed per person per day, accounting for 68% of dining facility (DFAC) refuse and 46% of the total installation refuse stream, making food waste the heaviest portion of installation solid waste. At a single installation, this can contribute up to 1.5 million dollars lost yearly from food waste alone. Department of Defense Instruction (DoDI) 4715.23 (DoD 2016) establishes policy and prescribes procedures to implement waste management through waste prevention and recycling.
