<p>Wheatgrass at young green stage is a powerhouse of nutrients and phytochemicals. Its various formulations are available in the form of extracts or powders used as health supplements. However, there is a huge potential of utilization for wheatgrass in the development of health foods for general good health as well as cure of disorders like metabolic syndrome, cancer, thalassemia, aneamia etc. With an aim to develop wheatgrass enriched health foods, the wheatgrass powder could be incorporated up to 10% in chapati and biscuits and up to 5% in bread without compromising the overall accept

Wheatgrass (Triticum aestivum) has emerged as a “superfood,” rich in essential nutrients and therapeutic benefits. The incorporation of wheatgrass powder into traditional recipes like bholi, a popular Indian sweet flatbread, offers a unique opportunity to enhance its nutritional profile. This study aimed to develop a wheatgrass-enriched bholi, assess its consumer acceptability, and evaluate its nutrient content. Ingredients such as wheatgrass powder, wheat flour, Bengal gram dal, jaggery, and oil were combined to create the product. Consumer acceptability was assessed using sensory evaluation,

Wheatgrass is widely used in the alternative medicine, however, there is a lack of clinical evidence to support its efficacy. Although based on its chemical composition, data from animal experiments and clinical trials, the use of juice and extracts of Triticum shoots seems to be safe, clinical reports point out its potential interaction with oral anticoagulants. The aim of our study was to assess the interaction of wheatgrass with warfarin in rats and to assess its flavonoid content. Consequence of dietary fish meal substitution with wheatgrass was evaluated by observing growth response, associated feed cost and survival of grass carp (Ctenopharyngodonidella) fingerlings for sixty days. Sprouted wheatgrass (Triticumaestivum) was prepared for its inexpensively rich nutrients. Four isonitrogenous test diets were formulated and applied as treatments (T) in triplicates (R). In the control (T1), basal inclusion rate of fish meal was 30%, of which 10% was replaced with wheatgrass powder in T2 and in T3 replacement was 20%. In contrast, 30% of basal fishmeal was replaced in T4. G
