The weaning practices in infants aged 4 to 9 months of two hundred Tiv mothers in Makurdi, Nigeria were examined. The data was collected using a questionnaire from these randomly selected women from a known population and who regularly visited the public post-natal clinic in Makurdi. The study showed that all the mothers breast-fed their infants and most introduced supplementary feed at 3 to 4 months. Este estudo investiga a participação das estudantes mulheres do Instituto Federal do Ceará (IFCE) no mercado de trabalho formal. Usando uma abordagem quantitativa, foram examinados 5.590 alunos de cursos de Tecnologia da Informação e Comunicação (TIC), bem como os empregos formais que ocuparam no período de 2017 a 2021. A demanda por profissionais nas áreas de Tecnologia da Informação e Comunicação (TIC) tem crescido. Apesar disso, não se consegue suprir totalmente as vagas existentes. Um possível motivo do não preenchimento pode estar relacionado a baixa participação feminina na área. Especificamente, em áreas como Teste e Qualidade de Software, existe uma lacuna gerada pela falta de informação, motivando a proposta deste trabalho. Os resultados, baseados em uma análise quali-quantitativa, mostraram uma maior concentração mulheres trabalhando nestas áreas nas regiões Nordeste e Sudeste.
