However, there are specific situations, such as the investigation of copper-based artefacts, where users need to have a deeper understanding of the device's functioning. Abstract:
<p>The purpose of this study is to utilize Precipitated Calcium Carbonate (PCC) and Upcycled Concrete Aggregate (UCA) in civil engineering. PCC is a fine to coarse grain material generated during the production of sugar from sugar beets. UCA is produced from demolished and returned concrete by the extraction of primarily calcium and alkalinity. The test results on PCC alone show that the optimum content to achieve a minimum 28 MPa (4000 psi) compressive strength is up to 30% by weight of Portland cement. The corresponding compressive strength of mixes in which conventional aggregate was

The structure optimizations of picolinaldehyde N-oxide thiosemicarbazone (Hpiotsc), 2-benzoylpyridine semicarbazone (H2BzPS), their imino tautomers and their complexes with Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) were carried out using DFT calculations at the B3LYP/LANL2DZ level of theory. Thermodynamic properties of tautomerizations of Hpiotsc and H2BzPS and complexations of their complexes derived from the frequency calculations at the same level were obtained. The B3LYP/LANL2DZ-optimized geometry parameters for the complexes of [[Ni(Hpiotsc)[subscript 2]][superscript 2+]], [Cu(Hpiotsc).Cl[subscript 2]] a

Abstract:
Methods to quantify soil conditions of pore connectivity, tortuosity, and pore size as altered by compaction were done. Air-dry soil cores were scanned at the GeoSoilEnviroCARS sector at the Advanced Photon Source for x-ray computed microtomography of the Argonne facility. Data was collected on the APS bending magnet Sector 13. Soil sample cores 5- by 5-mm were studied. Skeletonization algorithms in the 3DMA-Rock software of Lindquist et al. were used to extract pore structure. We have numerically investigated the spatial distribution for 6 geometrical characteristics of the pore structure of

Abstract:
Bulk quantitative mineralogy of regolith is a useful indicator of lithological precursor (protolith), degree of weathering, and soil properties affecting various potential landuse decisions. To date, no national-scale maps of regolith mineralogy are available in Australia. Catchment outlet sediments collected over 80% of the continent as part of the National Geochemical Survey of Australia (NGSA) afford a unique opportunity to rapidly and cost-effectively determine regolith mineralogy using the archived sample material. This report releases mineralogical data and metadata obtained as part of a
