Abstract:
Bima Sandstone at Wuro-Dole and environs was studied for its level of maturity and source area (provenance). In evaluating its textual maturity and provenance, field mapping was carried out and representative samples were subjected to physico-chemical and mineralogical analyses. The sandstone consists of some primary sedimentary structures:cross-beddings and ripple marks. Strike measurements of these primary structures plotted on current rose diagrams indicated SSE-NNW and NE-SW/NW-SE directions. The Bima Sandstone is averagely made up of medium grained, poorly-sorted, fine skewed and very lep

The manipulator is made for use in the poultry industry and therefore tested in its ability to detect, pick and place eggs. The links of the manipulator are made using acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) and the end effector is made using nitrile rubber. A neural network derived from the VGG-16 and YOLO architecture is then implemented to detect and localize eggs. The predicted values were then used

Background: Dyslipidemia might be the cause of many cardiovascular diseases (CVD). Yoga intervention is known to prevent the progression of various lifestyle-based health conditions. Dyslipidemia marks the onset of early CVD, and a Yoga based-intervention at this stage might reverse the progression. Aim: To analyze the effect of AYUSH Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) and CYP combined with Surya Namaskar (CYP-SN) on dyslipidemia subjects in Haryana. Method: A three-arm randomized controlled trial was carried out in which ninety individuals were allocated into three groups, CYP group, CYP-SN group and

This paper presents the development of a visual-perception system on a dual-arm mobile robot for human-robot interaction. This visual system integrates three subsystems. Hand gesture recognition is utilized to trigger human-robot interaction. Engagement and intention of the participants are detected and quantified through a cognitive system. Visual servoing uses YOLO to identify the object to be tracked and hybrid, model-based tracking to follow the object’s geometry. The proposed visual-perception system is implemented in the developed dual-arm mobile robot, and experiments are conducted to v

Abstract Background: Multimodal approach of psychotherapy has been found to be effective for managing the excessive use of technology. Yoga, a holistic mind–body therapy, has been observed to be a useful adjuvant in managing substance use disorders. Yoga is also known to reduce stress and enhance overall well-being. The aim of this study was to examine whether yoga as an adjuvant treatment to psychotherapy is better than psychotherapy alone in reducing dysfunction and severity due to excessive technology use. The ashtāng yoga system of yoga as presented by sage Patanjali classifies yoga into a series of eight steps, at the end of which the highest aim of human life, i.e. self-realisation can be attained. One can get some knowledge about what these steps are by reading sage Patanjali’s Yoga-sūtra. However, how the aim of yoga can be attained and what are the means of attaining it cannot be easily known because the Yoga-sūtra comprises of aphorisms, which by their very nature, can be understood only if one has a thorough knowledge of the subject.
