How it is possible to induce to effort heterogeneous workers with a unic labour contract ? answering to this question, this thesis presents a first step in the integration of a flow theory of the firm within an optimal incentives framework. In all chapters, we provide some evidences that at equilibrium, the firm finds too costly to raise the wage high enough to elicit effort from all their employees. These results are take the counterpart of the efficiency wage theory. The modelisation use game theory tools, which is particulary relevant to describe the internal labor market when information is asymmetric. After a survey of literature in the first chapter, we presents some some new theoretical results and test them empirically on panel data. First part is devoted to "post and incentive". The theoretical model, (chap. 2), shows that it may subsist shirkers at equilibrium. Wage and dismissals are negatively correlated. Chapter 3 tests this last proposition on panel data. The second part studies job and incentive, and shows (chap. 4) that it exists moral hazard and adverse selection in training. But the firm cannot always resolve this problem. The fird part is consacrated to "office and incentive". Chap. 5 describe how difficult it is for the firm to induce wealthy top executives officers, because it they are supposed to be able to manage correctly the firm, then they can also correctly manage their own portfolio. The very high wage

"Évaluation et mise en évidence des effets de la charge mentale de travail sur l’adaptabilité comportementale et physiologique A curvilinear effect of mental workload on mental effort and behavioral adaptability Time pressure modulates the curvilinear effect of mental workload on behavioral and physiological adaptability Mental workload effect on behavioral and physiological adaptability in air traffic control task." Thesis, Toulouse 2, 2019. http://www.theses.fr/2019TOU20091.
Faced with a growing technological evolution-oriented design and automation, studying the effects of mental workload on human efficiency and adaptability arouses genuine interest. The objective of this manuscript is to evaluate the mental workload and to highlight its effects on efficiency, resulting in a behavioral and physiological adaptability of the operator. More precisely, it is a matter of varying the task demand (for example, the difficulty, the temporal pressure, the complexity) to evaluate and identify the effects on the behavioral and physiological adaptability of operator. Behavioral and physiological adaptability was indexed by performance and pre-ejection period reactivity related to effort mobilization. The first article allowed us to highlight a curvilinear effect of mental workload on behavioral and physiological adaptability, as postulated by Hancock and Szalma (2006). The second article has showed that the temporal pressure could to a certain extent promote behavioral adaptability, especially the implementation of strategy. The third article has demonstrated that the air traffic control complex tasks are likely to activate a performance-effort trade-off resulting both behavioral and physiological adaptability of the operator. The applicative purpose of this thesis is to highlight the importance of human factors in the environments design loop, in order to rethink them and/or to bring in tools of help if necessary, at the most opportune moment and in its form the most convincing, in order to promote an optimal mental workload

The increasing demands of work and their impact on the quality of life of employees are timely. In this perspective, the reflection on the managerial practices deserves to be thorough. This research project has three objectives: to conceptualize, measure and predict the influence of emotional support at work (ESW) on organizational commitment, job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behaviour. Our reflection is based on three points. (1) Study the psychological tensions ( conflicts Work / family -life / work) and job characteristics (psychological demand, physical constraints, Complexity of work ... ) is a key input that requires (2) a reflection on the emotional support at work and emotional regulation strategies as moderating variables for ( 3) study the effects of moderating variables in integrating research models incorporating burnout, organizational commitment , emotional dissonance, job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behaviour. The hospital raises an exemplary manner the dynamics and challenges of local management. We will consider three cases: The University Hospital of Bab El Oued (Algeria), University Hospital of Brugmann, (Belgium) and The University Hospital of Bordeaux (France). To provide some answers, we mobilize two methods: qualitative and quantitative (more about a double measure of perceived SET and a measure of emotional regulation strategies) with a comparison of the target institutions. Key words : Emotional support at work_ psychological tensions (conflict work / life and family / work) - Work Characteristics (psychological demand, physical constraints, Labor Complexity ) Burnout – organizational commitment - emotional dissonance - organizational citizenship behaviour _ Strategies work emotional regulation

The objective of our research tasks is to control the material flow under the blank holder through the control and the optimization of the blankholder force profiles. According to the defects which must be avoided, an optimization problem was formulated with inequality constraints functions expressing explicitly some selected quality criteria. An optimization procedure, based on the response surface method and an SQP algorithm, is proposed. To find the global optimum with precision and at lower cost an adaptative strategy of the research space is adopted. The rupture, is avoided by using the modified maximum force criterion, witch is coupled with ABAQUS. Three applications were studied. The optimization results highlight the interest in the control of the blankholder forces in relation of time and the need in certain cases to use several blank holder surfaces in order to improve the distribution of the blankholder force in space
Murtaza, Ghulam. "Unfairness and stress at work : an examination of two competing approaches : organizational justice and effort reward imbalance." Thesis, Aix-Marseille, 2017. http://www.theses.fr/2017AIXM0066/document.
Unfairness at work often causes in inducing negative emotions among employees that influence their work outcomes or strains. In this research, we seek to advance this perspective by using two alternative theoretical models of unfairness at work: organizational (in)justice and effort-reward imbalance and its consequences on two different samples of employees. Based on cross-sectional two different samples this study offered a comparison between organizational (in)justice and effort-reward imbalance in examining employees' unfair perceptions and their relationships to work outcomes in Pakistan (N=583) and in France (N=241).Further, this research examined the moderating effects of personal human values and equity sensitivity between the relationships of unfairness at work and outcomes. However, results of hierarchical regression analysis revealed that both theoretical models of unfairness (organizational (in)justice and effort-reward imbalance) were positively related to job-burnout, turnover intention whereas negatively related to organizational commitment, employees’ performance, and employees in role behavior. We also found that personal human values and equity sensitivity moderated the relationship between unfairness and stress outcomes in both samples. Contribution towards the existing literature, managerial implications, and future research direction was also discussed

This thesis studies the effect of prices on the decisions of health professionals and the use of maternal health services in sub-Saharan Africa. The first two chapters are concerned with the effect of wages on the effort choices and the multiple job holding of health professionals. Based on data collected at the peripheral level of the Cameroonian health system (Yaoundé and Douala), it appears that wages in the main job have no significant effect on the effort choice and the multiple job holding of the health professionals. Thus, a policy of high wages appears insufficient to control the shirking behaviour and the multiple job holding phenomenon of health professionals in the sub-Saharan context. The third chapter analyzes the short-term impact of the free delivery and caesarean program on the use of maternal health services in Senegal. This evaluation does not show in a short-term any positive impact of the free-of-charge measure on the use of maternal health services. The hasty scaling-up of free-of-charge policies can be then questioned in this context
