Aggression observed in early childhood is considered to be an important problem. Multiple factors may play a decisive role in children’s aggressive behaviors. The aim of this study was to examine whether the receptive and expressive language skills of preschool children (39-75 months-old) had predictive role on the levels of physical and relational aggression. The sample of the present study consists of 109 preschool children (47 girls and 62 boys). Aggression is a negative form of an anti-social behavior. It is produced because of a particular reason, desire, want, need, or due to the psychological state of the aggressor. It injures others physically or psychologically. Aggressive behaviors in human interactions cause discomfort and disharmony among interlocutors. The paper aims to identify how aggressive language manifests itself in the data under scrutiny in terms of the pragmatic paradigm. Aggressive speech can be detrimental to social stability. However, due to a lack of annotated data for aggressive speech, current automatic detection of aggressive speech focuses primarily on a few high-resource languages, making detection for low-resource languages difficult. We propose a cross-language, unsupervised, aggressive transfer detection method to address this. Firstly, we utilize a multilingual BERT (mBERT) model to learn aggressive features on a high-resource English dataset, resulting in an original model. This structure can lead to enhancement or preservation of word-internal self-similarity. The case of vowel raising in Tagalog loan-stems is examined in detail. Raising can be blocked in order to preserve similarity between the stem penult and the stem ultima. The more similar the penult and ultima along various dimensions, the more likely coupling is, and thus the more likely resistance to raising. How do personality traits condition the effects of campaign messages meant to mobilize voters? With two nationally representative US survey experiments, I show that common aggressive metaphors mobilize or demobilize voters depending on their traits. For example, the language mobilizes strong partisans with aggressive personalities but demobilizes strong partisans low in aggression. This heterogeneity showcases the nuanced power of

Despite being harmful, these attacks also offer benefits for interpreting and enhancing NMT models, thus drawing increased research attention. However, existing studies on adversarial attacks are insufficient in both attacking ability and human imperceptibility due to their sole focus on the scope of language. This paper proposes a novel vision-fused attack (VFA) framework to acquire powerful adversarial text, i.e., more aggressive and stealthy. Regarding the attack

Abstract:
Abstract The growing use of thermal spray technology in manufacturing is increasing the need for knowledge regarding the behavior of thermal spray coatings in aggressive environments. Due to the different characteristics of the spraying processes and materials used, the mechanisms of attack can vary greatly from layer to layer depending on the application. This paper presents a detailed investigation of corrosion mechanisms at room temperature and their effect on a wide range of thermally sprayed metals and ceramic-metal (cermet) composites. Paper includes a German-language abstract.

In this blog post, the author examines the specifics of the work of minority media and minority journalists during the first six months of the war of aggression against Ukraine. Although many countries are aggressively implementing the One Laptop per Child (OLPC) program, there is a lack of empirical evidence on its effects. This paper presents the impact of the first large-scale randomized evaluation of the OLPC program, using data collected after 15 months of implementation in 319 primary schools in rural Peru. The results indicate that the program increased the ratio of computers per student from 0.12 to 1.18 in treatment schools. This expansion in access translated into substantial increases in use both at school and at home. No evidence is found of effects on enr

For many years and decades, the need for a memorial center at the Babyn Yar ravine in Kyiv has been discussed. On September 29-30, 1941, Nazi German Sonderkommando forces and local collaborators had murdered 33,771 Jews in the ravine. In 2016, the Ukrainian government announced together with an International Supervisory Board its intention to create an official Babyn Yar Holocaust Memorial Center (BYHMC) on the grounds of the massacre. Abstract:
The purpose of this text or dissertation is to throw some basic light on a fundamental problem concerning manhood, namely the question of evil, its main sources, dynamics and importance for human attitudes and behaviour. The perspective behind the analysis itself is that of psychology. Somebody, or many, may feel at bit nervous by the word “evil” itself. It may very well be seen as too connected to religion, myth and even superstition. Yet those who are motivated to lose oneself in the subject retain a deep interest in human destructiveness, malevolence and hate, significant themes pointing at
