In order to apply the most accurate and efficient locoregional techniques, the knowledge of the anatomical characteristics of the oro-maxilo-facial territory becomes imperatively necessary, without which the installation and the effect of the locoregional anaesthetics may be poor. Due to the many advantages it presents, locoregional anaesthesia is considered as a current use method during routine dental care. A good local or locoregional anaesthetic must be harmless to the tissues, must have no local or general toxicity, must lead to a high quality and durable anaesthetic, must not cause lesio

Successful and efficient pain management techniques are necessary for management of orofacial pain. A routine technique used for intraoral pain management is local anaesthetic administration, but in some cases, it is difficult to achieve anaesthesia such as in hot teeth cases with symptomatic irreversible pulpitis(SIP). To achieve pulpal anaesthesia inferior alveolar nerve block (IANB) is considered the standard technique but it is not successful in 41-81% cases of irreversible pulpitis. Through its influence on the patient’s inflammatory and immune system, the choice of anaesthetic technique has an indirect impact on the health of the individual patient and on public health.
