AbstractIn neonatal alloimmune thrombocytopenia, almost all human platelet antigen (HPA)–1b1b mothers who produce anti–HPA-1a antibody through carrying an HPA-1a fetus are human histocompatibility leukocyte antigen (HLA)–DRB3*0101 positive. It is predicted that the HPA-1a Leu33 polymorphism forms part of an HLA-DRB3*0101–restricted T-helper epitope, and acts as an anchor residue for binding this class II molecule. However, it is not known whether any corresponding peptides are naturally processed and presented from platelet glycoprotein. In this study, peptides displayed by a homozygous HLA-DR

Abstract Introduction: Fetal-NeonatalAlloimmune Thrombocytopenia (FNAIT) is the result of an incompatibility between maternal and fetal human platelet alloantigens (HPA). Affecting 1 in 1000 births, it is one of the most common causes of thrombocytopenia in the neonate. Prospective studies reveal that only 5-10% of pregnancies with HPA-1a incompatibilities result in maternalalloimmunization. The association of HPA-1a incompatibility andalloimmunization is largely based on an immune response gene: the Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) class II DRB3*0101 haplotype. If patients are refractory to pooled, random donor platelets, most institutions have an explicit algorithm which facilitates a supply of single-donor (SD) apheresis and/or HLA-matched platelets. Abstract:
Computational Prototyping Environment (CPE) is a web-based portal designed to simplify running Department of Defense (DoD) modeling and simulation tools on the DoD Supercomputing Resource Center’s (DSRC) High Performance Computing (HPC) systems. The first of these tools to be deployed in the CPE is an application (app) to conduct parametric studies and view results using the CREATE-AV Helios CFD software. Initial capability includes hover (collective sweep) and forward flight (speed sweep) performance calculations. The CPE Helios app allows for job submission to a DSRC’s HPC system and for the

Abstract:
The phenotypic analysis of new candidate varieties at multiple locations could provide information on the stability of their genotypes. We evaluated the stability of 11 maize hybrid candidates in five districts in East Java Province, Indonesia. Maize hybrids with high yield potential and early maturity traits derived from a diallel cross were planted in a randomized complete block design with two checks (Srikandi Kuning and BISI-2) as a single factor with four replicates. The observed traits were grain yield per hectare and harvest age. The effects of environment, genotype, and genotype × envi

Abstract:
The Greater Yellowstone Area (GYA) is one of the last remaining large and nearly intact temperate ecosystems on Earth (Reese 1984; NPSa undated). GYA was originally defined in the 1970s as the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, which encompassed the minimum range of the grizzly bear (Schullery 1992). The boundary was enlarged through time and now includes about 22 million acres (8.9 million ha) in northwestern Wyoming, south central Montana, and eastern Idaho. Two national parks, five national forests, three wildlife refuges, 20 counties, and state and private lands lie within the GYA boundary. GY

Abstract:
The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) completed a total of 25 high friction surface treatment (HFST) projects across the state in 2018. This research study attempted to investigate the durability and performance of HFST in terms of its HFST-pavement system integrity and surface friction performance. Laboratory tests were conducted to determine the physical and mechanical properties of epoxy-bauxite mortar. Field inspections were carried out to identify site conditions and common early HFST distresses. Cyclic loading test and finite element method (FEM) analysis were performed to eva
