För att genomföra undersökningen har tre lärare i tre olika årskurser på lågstadiet intervjuats. Intervjuerna var semistrukturerade och genomfördes via mail. Av svaren framkom det att lärarna ser läsförståelse på ett likvärdigt sätt. This study tested differences in reading comprehension between printed text and digital platforms. Two groups of upper secondary EFL students took eight tests, aiming to test their reading comprehension. The students took four tests in which they read traditionally and four in which they read digitally. “Reading with Your Ears” is a comparative study of comprehension in reading a text versus listening to an audio book. The text excerpt is from Mark Haddon’s The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time and has been read or listened to by seventh-grade students. The results show that the readers understand more from the text since they can read at their own speed and see the pictures in the book. The purpose of this study is to provide an insight into six primary school teachers’ attitudes, ideas and approaches to teaching reading comprehension in Finnish and Swedish schools. In addition, the informants’ reflections on the PISA studies’ results concerning reading comprehension are also included. The aim of the study was to investigate how reading aloud is organized in the class-room and if the teachers made any adaptations for students with reading comprehension difficulties. Three teachers and two special education teachers were interviewed about their views on reading aloud and adaptations. Metoden som används är kvalitativa gruppintervjuer med två olika årskurser för att förstå deras inställning och erfarenheter av illustrationer i kombination med text i böcker.
