This article explores the cognitive and pragmatic features of paremias in English and Uzbek languages. Paremias are expressions containing wisdom and cultural knowledge that are often used to convey important societal values and norms. By analyzing the cognitive and pragmatic aspects of these expressions in both languages, we aim to uncover the similarities and differences in how wisdom and cultural knowledge are encoded and transmitted through paremias. AbstractThe nature of cultural organization remains an open anthropological question. Although we eschew any simplistic global reductionism, here we argue that three organizational features of culture, its systematicity; the recurrence of distinctions across semantic, conceptual and practical boundaries; and the 'bleeding' of properties between associated concepts, may find their origin in fundamental operating principles of the human mind: respectively, the cognitive principle of relevance, the decompositionality of cognitive processing and the network structure of semantic memory. One of the cognitive strategies scientists use in their modelling practices is abstraction. In recent philosophy of science, abstraction is commonly understood as the ‘omission’ of the irrelevant features of a represented phenomenon. This essay criticizes this characterization, with the help of an example from oceanography and insights drawn from abstract art. In contrast, I propose to highlight the worldmaking potential of abstraction, insofar as it involves a creative act of ordering and establishing previously unseen connections between relevant features of the world.

Abstract:
The paper considers the role of philosophy and philosophical disciplines as the means of forming general cultural competences, in particular, in the development of critical thinking. The article emphasizes that the process of forming over-subject and soft skills, which, as a rule, include also critical thinking, gets much more complicated under the conditions of the reduction in the volume of philosophical courses. The paper grounds that one of the ways to “return” philosophy to educational programmes can be the implementation of training, using the e-learning environment, especially Moodle. I

Abstract:
The features of modeling of the cognitive component of social and humanitarian systems have been considered. An example of using multiscale, multifractal and network complexity measures has shown that these and other synergetic models and methods allow us to correctly describe the quantitative differences of cognitive systems. The cognitive process is proposed to be regarded as a separate implementation of an individual cognitive trajectory, which can be represented as a time series and to investigate its static and dynamic features by the methods of complexity theory.
