Abstract:
This paper discusses the pathway for obtaining a highly homologous gene of spider silk ADF4 from Araneus diadematus. The process of de novo synthesis of this gene is not only a process of PCR assembly, but also a detailed analysis of the gene sequence and its optimisation for synthesis in E. coli. This paper presents a sequence of actions for the assembly of sequences with high homology.

The article states that with the development of new journalism, the author’s ability to characterize a phenomenon and identify a trend acquires special value. Representatives of Ukrainian new journalism, which is a relatively new genre, are already gradually implementing these tasks. They compose entire books from their reports, offering the reader a condensed version of versatile observations about a certain country, situation, or phenomenon. In contrast to ordinary reportage, fiction is a synthetic genre, in which it is not reported, but told. The authors of the article research Reporters wh

Abstract:
The goal of this work was to understand the role of the enzyme sucrose synthase (SuSy) in synthesis of cellulose and callose in plants. The work resulting from the this grant leads to a number of conclusions. SuSy clearly plays diverse roles in carbon metabolism. It can associate with the plasma membrane of cells undergoing rapid cellulose deposition, such as cotton fibers, developing maize endosperm, gravistimulated pulvini, and transfer cells of the cotton seed. It is also concentrated at sites of high callose deposition (tapetal cells; cell plates). When SuSy levels are lowered by mutation

The objective was to screen maize lines for their ability to express resistance based on biochemical traits. Cultivars were screened for retention of the hydroxamic acid DIMBOA and the synthesis of phenols (based on anthocyanin production) as markers for resistance. Lines were selected and inoculated with fungal pathogens (Exserohilum turcicum, Puccinia sorghi, Cochliobolus heterostraphus, Colletotricum graminicola.), and the Maize Dwarf Mosaic and Johnson Grass Mosaic viruses. Lines were screened in the field and greenhouse. Results showed that lines selected for augmented phenol synthesis do

Abstract:
Altering milk composition via transgenesis depends on three main factors. (1) The availability of an efficient regulatory sequences for targeting transgene(s) to the mammary gland; (2) a reliable in vitro model to test the expression of transgenes prior to their introduction to the animal genome; and (3) better understanding of the major factors which determine the rate of gene expression and protein synthesis. The current studies provide the necessary means and knowledge to alter milk protein composition via transgenesis. The following specific goals were achieved: a: Identifying regulatory r
