Fetuses with intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR) have high concentrations of catecholamines, which lowers the insulin secretion and glucose uptake. Here, we studied the effect of hypercatecholaminemia on glucose metabolism in sheep fetuses with placental insufficiency-induced IUGR. Norepinephrine concentrations are elevated throughout late gestation in IUGR fetuses but not in IUGR fetuses with a bilateral adrenal demedullation (IAD) at 0.65 of gestation. Euglycemic (EC) and hyperinsulinemic–euglycemic (HEC) clamps were performed in control, intact-IUGR, and IAD fetuses at 0.87 of gestation.

It is difficult for traditional image recognition methods to accurately identify ground penetrating radar (GPR) images. This paper proposes a deep-learning based Faster R-CNN algorithm for the automatic classification and recognition of GPR images. Firstly, GPR images with different features were obtained by using gprMax, a professional GPR simulation software. Then, the feature of the target in the image was taken as the recognition object and the data set was made. Finally, Faster R-CNN’s recognition ability of GPR images was analyzed from various accuracy, average accuracy and other indicat

Under suitable conditions, ground-penetrating radar (GPR) measurements harbour great potential for the non-invasive mapping and three-dimensional investigation of buried archaeological remains. Current GPR data visualisations almost exclusively focus on the imaging of GPR reflection amplitudes. Ideally, the resulting amplitude maps show subsurface structures of archaeological interest in plan view. However, there exist situations in which, despite the presence of buried archaeological remains, hardly any corresponding anomalies can be observed in the GPR time- or depth-slice amplitude images.

Ground penetrating radar (GPR) is a geophysical method used in highway maintenance to determine subsurface conditions within the right-of-way. As such, GPR results are susceptible to the transmission frequency used and the inherent properties of different subsurface materials.
