The paper offers an analysis of the cultural borrowing process of the Turkish word yo?urt ?yogurt? in Serbian. The study begins with the analysis of the Serbian lexical material from the 19th century, when the word jogurt was marked as an exclusively foreign word. The comparison with the present status of the meaning and usage of the word jogurt in contemporary Serbian, in which the word is part of the standard language, shows two different layers of the borrowing process: the Ottoman Turkish period and the Non-Turkish one. Wir beschreiben einen 22-jährigen Mann mit vorbekannter Herzklappenpathologie, der sechs Wochen nach einem zahnärztlichen Eingriff trotz adäquater Prophylaxe an einer akuten Laktobazillus-Endokarditis erkrankte. Wir erläutern die Limitationen der alten Empfehlungen zur Endokarditisprophylaxe und beschreiben die neuen Richtlinien. Im weiteren diskutieren wir die Behandlung der Laktobazillus-Endokarditis und legen eine mögliche gesundheitliche Gefährdung immunkompromittierter / immunsupprimierter Patienten durch den steigenden Einsatz der Laktobazillus-Spezies in Milchprodukten dar.

This chapter compares the captivity accounts of the Jesuit priest Isaac Jogues, in The Jesuit Relations and related sources from the 1640s, with the Puritan minister John Williams’s Redeemed Captive Returning to Zion (1707). Jogues used literacy to connect to his elite discourse community and to transcend the circumstances of his captivity among Mohawks, who spectacularly embodied scriptural antagonists; his eventual martyrdom entailed an identification with the types of his saintly predecessors, especially the Jesuit founder Ignatius de Loyola and Jesus Christ. Captured along with his neighbors in the 1704 raid on Deerfield, Massachusetts, Williams used the Bible as a line of communication with God; once he was delivered to Canada, he attempted to use literacy to sustain his captive, dispersed congregation.

References to the famous 137th Psalm (“by the rivers of Babylon”) by colonial captives such as Mary Rowlandson, Isaac Jogues, John Williams, and Elizabeth Hanson are different from those of other Christian writers. Elements of the psalm were recapitulated in the ethnohistorical context of Indian captivity. These include the riverine landscape and pagan captors (verse 1), the compulsion to sing “songs of Zion” (verse 3), and infanticidal violence (verses 8-9). The question posed by verse 4 – “How shall we sing the LORD’s song in a strange land?” – may have been as relevant to the Christian Indians who were confined and persecuted by settlers during King Philip’s War as for any other Christian community.

A szellemi tulajdonról a közéletben általában kevés szó esik, mivel az meglehetősen elvont fogalom. A szellemi tulajdon megsértésének esetén a szabadalmakat és a szerzői jogot vizsgáljuk kellő alapossággal. A tanulmány azt kívánja bemutatni, hogy mi a helyes eljárás abban az esetben, ha a vámhatóságok látókörébe hamis vagy feltehetően hamisított termék kerül. Különösen fontos a szellemei tulajdonjogok vizsgálata akkor, ha a nem uniós áruk szabad forgalomba bocsátását kéri az ügyfél. Mindez azért kiemelt kérdés, mert a vámjogi szabályozásból eredően, amennyiben egy tagállamban szabad forgalomba kerül az áru, úgy az az Európai Unión belül szabadon mozoghat.

Prodajni avtomati so eden izmen načinov prehranske ponudbe, vendar pogosto spregledan del pri prizadevanju za izboljševanje prehranskih navad prebivalcev. Namen raziskave, v kateri smo popisali ponudbo v prodajnih avtomatih v 26 bolnišnicah v vseh statistični regijah v Sloveniji, je bil preveriti ponudb prehrambnih izdelkov. Izsledki raziskave kažejo, da so prodajni avtomati v več kot treh četrtinah napolnjeni s pijačami s sladkorjem in sladkimi prigrizki, torej izdelki, ki bi se jim naj izogibali ali jih uživali le občasno.
